We stay here to be close to family when we are traveling. Normally a few months in the summer. But we stayed the winter of 2024-2025. Steap driveways down the hill. Not great for snow & ice winters. Propane is at $4.50Over the last few years alot of changes happened our last visit. It is a quiet park. Friendly people. Mostly monthly residents. Spaces are decent. A little close. But not too tight. Not big right Friendly over 45 feet. And they won't take you if pulling a full seperat trailer. Ir pulling a car. It must have 2 wheels on the ground.Dog park is artificial now cleaned weekly and there are 2 other pet friendly areas in grass.Spacious bathrooms. 3 Washers & dryersIt's hit or miss if avaliable or if working. But $2 to wash & $1 to dry is great. If too close to bottom your going to get some freeway noise. As it is just off I-5 exit. Now $65 or more a night or $450 or more a week.Monthly went up from when we were there was $725 a month plus electricity. - Jessica Vickstrom
Emerald Valley RV Park Overview Intro Detail Photos Location Reviews

Emerald Valley RV Park Introduce

Emerald Valley RV Park, located in the scenic Willamette Valley, provides a practical and comfortable destination for RV travelers exploring or residing in the heart of Oregon. Nestled just off the I-5 corridor, the park offers a true sense of community and neighborhood environment for its guests. It is well-known for accommodating both short-term visitors and a large number of monthly residents, creating a stable and quiet atmosphere for those who have made the park their long-term home base in the region.

The park is strategically positioned to serve as an excellent central hub for exploring the best of Oregon’s mid-valley attractions, including the famed Willamette Wine Country. The focus here is on providing essential, high-quality amenities and convenient access, rather than extensive resort-style activities. This makes it particularly appealing to those who prefer a quiet, well-maintained location near family, work, or the many outdoor and cultural sites Oregon offers.

Visitors planning to stay should be aware of the park's structure. As is common with many well-located RV parks, spaces can be somewhat close together, and the most desirable spots (farthest from the interstate) are often occupied by long-term guests. Prospective residents and travelers should contact the office for the most current rates and availability, especially for monthly spots, which are highly sought after. Guests should also note that the park is located on a hill, with potentially steep driveways, which may require extra caution during winter weather involving snow or ice.

Location and Accessibility

Emerald Valley RV Park is situated at 11223 Hochspeier Rd SE, Jefferson, OR 97352, USA. This location is one of the park’s biggest advantages, offering exceptional accessibility for cross-state and regional travelers.

Key location and accessibility features include:

  • Interstate 5 (I-5) Proximity: The park is located just off an I-5 exit, which makes it an ideal overnight stop or a convenient base camp for extended stays, significantly reducing travel time to and from the highway. This is perfect for those traveling the West Coast corridor.
  • Central Willamette Valley Hub: Jefferson sits almost exactly between the larger cities of Salem (Oregon’s capital) to the north and Albany to the south. This central location means residents are only a 7 to 10-minute drive from major retail, grocery stores, Dutch Bros, and other essential services.
  • Surrounding Area: The park is nestled in the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley, placing residents near Oregon’s wine country, natural features, and outdoor activities. Popular attractions like Willamette Mission State Park and Silver Falls State Park are within a reasonable driving distance, providing ample opportunities for hiking, swimming, and exploration.
  • Accessibility Features: The premises feature a wheelchair accessible entrance and a wheelchair accessible parking lot, demonstrating a commitment to welcoming all guests.

It is important for guests to note that while the I-5 access is convenient, sites closer to the freeway may experience some road noise, especially during peak travel times. Guests who are light sleepers may want to request a spot farther into the park when making a reservation.

Services Offered

Emerald Valley RV Park focuses on providing comprehensive, full-hookup services to ensure a hassle-free stay for all RV types, from small travel trailers to big rigs.

  • Full Hookup Sites: All sites offer full hookups, which include 20-Amp, 30-Amp, and 50-Amp electricity, water, and sewer connections. This eliminates the need for daily utility management, particularly crucial for long-term residents.
  • Complimentary Connectivity: Guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the park to stay connected, check emails, or manage online bookings. The park also provides Cable TV service to all sites for in-rig entertainment.
  • On-Site Laundry Facilities: A key convenience for long-term travelers and residents is the on-site laundry room, which includes multiple washers and dryers. The rates for using these machines are often described by guests as very reasonable, with reports of $2 to wash and $1 to dry clothes, which presents a significant value. Guests should note that availability can be dependent on maintenance and usage during peak times.
  • Propane Availability: The park often offers on-site propane service, allowing guests to refill their tanks without having to leave the premises, though pricing should be confirmed upon arrival.
  • Payment Flexibility: The park accepts modern payment methods, including Credit cards, Debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making the check-in and payment process seamless and convenient.

Features / Highlights

The highlights of Emerald Valley RV Park revolve around its welcoming atmosphere for pets and its commitment to clean, functional facilities.

  • Pet-Friendly Environment with Dedicated Dog Park: The park is explicitly pet-friendly and allows dogs (with certain breed restrictions usually applying, which should be verified). A standout feature is the artificial turf dog park, which is reportedly cleaned weekly. This turfed area provides a clean, mud-free space for pets to exercise year-round, an important consideration in the Pacific Northwest weather. Additionally, the park provides two other designated pet-friendly areas in grassy spots.
  • Clean and Spacious Bathrooms: A consistently praised feature by visitors is the quality and cleanliness of the restroom and shower facilities. Guests often describe them as spacious and immaculate, a notable benefit for those with older RVs or traveling in smaller units.
  • Accommodations for Big Rigs: The park is Big Rig Friendly, offering pull-through and back-in sites designed to accommodate vehicles up to approximately 60 to 64 feet long, ensuring easy setup for larger motorhomes and fifth-wheel trailers. However, travelers with extra trailers or those pulling a car with all four wheels off the ground should confirm the park’s specific restrictions on multiple vehicles or non-standard towing setups, as certain types of separate trailers may not be permitted.
  • Variety of Site Options: The park offers various tiers of sites, including Standard, Premium, Pull-Through, and Compact sites, allowing travelers to choose an option that best fits their vehicle size and budget.
  • Year-Round Operation: Emerald Valley RV Park is open year-round, making it a reliable destination for full-time RVers and seasonal travelers in all parts of the year.

What is Worth Choosing Emerald Valley RV Park

For Oregonians and out-of-state visitors looking for a reliable, centrally located RV park in the Willamette Valley, Emerald Valley RV Park stands out for its practicality and value. It is particularly worth choosing for travelers seeking long-term or monthly residence, as the community is largely composed of long-term, friendly residents, which fosters a quiet and settled atmosphere. The monthly rate, while subject to change, remains competitive for a full-hookup site in this prime Oregon location.

The park’s commitment to cleanliness is a major selling point, with exceptionally clean bathrooms and an updated, affordable laundry room significantly improving the quality of life for long-haul travelers. Furthermore, its immediate accessibility to I-5 makes it an unparalleled choice for ease of travel. The pet-friendly amenities, highlighted by the artificial turf dog park, ensure that your canine companions are also well-cared for.
