Their website emphasizes themed weekends packed with activities, suggesting that the value comes from the rich schedule rather than individual site discounts.
However, it is always a good practice for New York residents planning a trip to inquire directly about any current or upcoming specials when making a reservation. These might include:
Off-Peak Season Rates: Campgrounds often have lower rates during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) compared to peak summer months. Booking outside of major holidays or school vacation periods might offer better value.
Long-Term Stay Discounts: For extended stays, some campgrounds offer weekly or monthly rates that are more economical than nightly rates. Kayuta Lake Campground lists "Starting Daily," "Starting Weekly," and "Starting Monthly" rates for different site types, indicating potential savings for longer visits.
Early Bird Booking Incentives: While not explicitly stated as a promotion, booking well in advance (reservations are accepted) often secures your preferred site and can sometimes lock in current rates before any potential increases.
Themed Weekend Value: The inclusion of numerous activities during their themed weekends, often without additional charge beyond the site fee, provides immense value, especially for families. This "all-inclusive" activity model is a significant draw.

May 01, 2025 · Alfonso Spencerreally nice campground with very friendly staff. bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. short hike from the campground to the lake too! far enough out but close enough to run to town if you forgot something.
Apr 24, 2025 · Zoe MorleyThe campground hosts are the best! They were so friendly and helpful and do a wonderful job. I have been there twice, and they treat me like an old friend. They take such good care of the campground. Many thanks to them for a great stay!
Apr 21, 2025 · Irma ArthurWe lost power for three days on July 04 weekend in 2024. Not any storms around the area. Campground was packed to the gills. I believe they overbooked and didn't have the grid to support it. When we checked out, man was very rude, I asked for a refund for just one night out of the four nights that we stayed. My request was denied and not in a very nice way. I filed a claim with the NYS attorneys general office. They sent notice to the campground and the notice got sent back. That takes audacity. I called the campground after this happened to verify the address. The man hung up on me. This was the same man that was there when I checked out in July. It's too bad that the service was horrible because it is actually a nice campground and good location. I gotta hand it to the poor saps that keep coming back there, they're more brave than I'll ever be. Good luck!
