June 21 · Dawn KingThis is a hidden gem in Oklahoma! Not only can you see bison on the side of the road but there is a heard of Elk as well as longhorn cattle that may or may not stroll through the camp site! Hiking and trails were well maintained and fun to go on! The holy city was a neat experience as well! The view from the top of MT. Scott was worth the trip by itself! While in the wildlife refuge their is a feeling of seclusion being surrounded by rocky mountain out cropping feels good in oklahoma! Fishing was good bass and catfish for us! The campsite was clean and very strict about rules! No vehicles off the pavement at all times! Cell phone service was not available so plan accordingly; we are Verizon. 30 and 50 Amp are available throughout the electric section by the water! Wildlife was everywhere you look!
August 06 · Travis. HaddenGreat campground. Friendly campers and staff/volunteers. Beautiful location.
May 22 · Michael-Tag PalmerThis place is amazing! It’s perfectly dark at night, plenty of shade in the day time and the facilities are by far the cleanest I have EVER used at a campground! There are wild animals that will visit so keep your food away and scorpions at night but I mean, we are in their home. No lake water access other than the bridge I have in the pictures but there is plenty of other places around the refuge for that. Please stay here! It is totally worth it!
June 24 · jennifer loveThis is a crappy campground in a beautiful place. I don't know what spotless bathrooms people are talking about because the ones I saw were filthy and barely operable. To make matters worse, the staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with. They didn't offer car tags like every other campground I've stayed in so they started harassing me my second night like I wasn't supposed to be there. They didn't even apologize for their rudeness. The reservation was made online and there was very little information given for check in, etc and every time I tried to call for info they didn't answer. I will say that the campsite itself was large and shaded. It was like driving a maze being very hard to navigate with no signage for the bathrooms. This campground definitely has potential under different management.
