The charm of an RV park often lies in its ability to blend essential conveniences with access to natural beauty and recreational opportunities. River Ridge RV Park distinguishes itself by offering more than just standard RV hookups. Its integration with guided fishing experiences, led by local experts Tom and Jane Gallenbach, provides a significant draw for anglers. This unique combination makes it a specialized destination for those looking to explore the rich fishing grounds of the Sabine River. River Ridge RV Park is located at 831 Tenaha St, Center, TX 75935, USA. Center is a city in Shelby County, deep in the heart of East Texas. This region is characterized by its lush forests, numerous lakes, and rivers, making it a prime destination for outdoor activities, especially fishing and boating. The park's address places it with direct access to the Sabine River, a significant waterway forming part of the border between Texas and Louisiana.
Accessibility to River Ridge RV Park appears to be straightforward, likely involving local roads off larger state highways that lead into Center. For RVers, navigating to the park should be manageable. The proximity to the Sabine River is a major accessibility highlight, offering direct access for fishing and boating activities. However, it's noted that the quality and location of the boat launch and parking lot can vary depending on rainfall and river flow, which is a common consideration for riverside properties. While situated in a more natural setting, Center provides essential amenities like grocery stores, gas stations, and some dining options within a reasonable drive. This balance between natural immersion and necessary conveniences makes the location suitable for both short-term recreational visits and potentially longer stays.
River Ridge RV Park offers a range of services designed to accommodate various types of guests, with a particular focus on outdoor enthusiasts:
- RV Hookups: Facilities for RVs include necessary hookups for water, electricity, and sewer, essential for a comfortable stay.

The quality and features of these cabins vary widely (e.g., Cabin 7 is newer with central A/C and a full kitchen; Cabin 1 is older with a window unit A/C and a dorm-room fridge, and may not include linens).
- Bath House: A communal bathhouse is available for guests, providing restroom and shower facilities.
- Boat Launch: The park offers a boat launch, providing direct access to the Sabine River for fishing and boating activities. It is noted that the usability of the launch may depend on river levels.

- Guided Fishing Trips: A significant service offered by the park's knowledgeable residents, Tom and Jane Gallenbach, who are expert Sabine River guides, specializing in trips for species like white bass. This is a major draw for anglers.
- Linen Provision (Varies by Cabin): Linens are provided for some cabins (e.g., Cabin 7) but not others (e.g., Cabin 1), indicating guests should confirm what is included with their specific booking.
- Kitchen Areas (Varies by Cabin): Cabins include kitchen areas, with variations in size and appliances (e.g., old hotel/dorm-room style fridge in Cabin 1; full kitchen size with freezer in Cabin 7).
- Air Conditioning (Varies by Cabin): Both cabins have A/C, but the type and efficiency vary (central A/C in Cabin 7; rickety window unit in Cabin 1).

River Ridge RV Park Reviews
Home to a very knowledgeable pair of Sabine River guides - Tom and Jane Gallenbach and a good place to rest up between fishing trips.I stayed two nights - one in cabin 7 and one in cabin 1. The age and quality of the cabins - and their beds and kitchens vary widely.Cabin 7 is a newer unit, with a TV, two semi-private sleeping areas and a sleeper sofa. Linens are provided.Cabin 1 is an old hut with two lofts that contain very comfortable queen mattresses, a roll-away and a metal frame twin bed. Linens were not provided with Cabin 1.Both have small kitchen areas with fridges (old hotel/dorm-room style in 1; Full kitchen size, with freezer in 7). Both have A/C, but 7's is central and 1 has just a rickety window unit.Facilities for RVs include hook ups and a bath house. the quality and location of the boat launch, and parking lot will depend upon rainfall and river flow. I posted pictures from the second weekend of March, 2016. The following week, this area suffered some major rainstorms, so the areas photographed may never look quite like this again. The real story, though, is how well Tom and Jane know the Sabine River. We hit our limit on white bass within a short hours of wetting the first line. This guided fishing trip was an incredible experience, and one I would recommend to just about anyone.
