Mobile home communities like Oak Park Village often foster a unique neighborhood feel, where residents can enjoy a more settled and independent lifestyle compared to apartment living, often at a lower cost than traditional single-family homes. While specific details on all amenities may vary, the emphasis on its location near major shopping and entertainment areas suggests a focus on convenience for its residents. As with any significant housing decision, prospective residents are always encouraged to conduct thorough research, including visiting the property in person and speaking with current residents, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community and ensure it aligns with their personal living preferences and expectations.
Oak Park Village Manufactured Home Community is conveniently located at 4000 SW 47th St, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA. This address places it within Gainesville, a major city in Alachua County, renowned as the home of the University of Florida. The park's specific location, being "just far enough out to not have the in town hustle & bustle," suggests it offers a quieter residential environment while still maintaining excellent accessibility to city amenities.
The accessibility of Oak Park Village is a significant highlight. It is positioned to offer residents the best of both worlds: a peaceful neighborhood feel combined with immediate access to Gainesville's most substantial shopping and entertainment areas. SW 47th Street provides direct routes to major roads, including Archer Road (SR 24) and SW 34th Street (SR 208), which are key arteries in Gainesville. Archer Road, in particular, is known for its extensive retail developments, including Butler Plaza, which hosts a wide array of big-box stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and entertainment venues like movie theaters. This means residents are just a short drive away from virtually anything they might need, from daily groceries to a night out.
Furthermore, the park's location offers reasonable access to Gainesville's other major points of interest. The University of Florida campus, UF Health Shands Hospital, and downtown Gainesville's cultural attractions are all within a manageable driving distance. Public transportation options in Gainesville may also be accessible from the park's vicinity, offering an alternative for those who prefer not to drive for all their errands. This strategic positioning makes Oak Park Village an attractive choice for students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and families who seek affordability and a community feel without sacrificing the conveniences of city life.
Oak Park Village Manufactured Home Community, like most residential mobile home parks, provides core services essential for comfortable and managed living. While detailed public lists of all services can sometimes be limited, general expectations for such a community in Gainesville include:
- Mobile Home Lots for Rent/Sale: The primary service offered is providing individual lots for residents to either place their own manufactured homes (for lot rent) or to rent/purchase park-owned homes.
- Utility Hookups: Each lot is typically equipped with necessary utility connections, including water, sewer, and electricity. Residents are usually responsible for their utility consumption.
- On-site Management/Office: The presence of an office (as indicated by "Oak Park Village Manufactured Home Community Office" and reviews mentioning contact with management) suggests an on-site team responsible for park operations, resident relations, and general upkeep.
- Common Area Maintenance: Management is generally responsible for the upkeep of shared spaces within the park, such as roads and common landscaping.
- Pest Control for Common Areas: Given Florida's climate, common area pest control can sometimes be a provided service, or resources for individual pest control may be shared.
- Waste Management: Services for trash and recycling collection are typically provided.
It's important to note that while services like management are present, some reviews indicate challenges with responsiveness, particularly regarding maintenance requests for individual lots or specific community features. Prospective residents should verify the current status and effectiveness of all services directly with park management and, if possible, current residents.

Oak Park Village Manufactured Home Community Reviews
I have lived in this community for almost year. It is in a great location and affordable. My issue is the lack accountability from management and no empathy shown for the residents that live in the community. I have reached out to management regarding a tree that is dangling over the home. I was told a year ago that the tree would be removed or at least cut back and a year later nothing has happened. I have emailed management clips of debris that has fallen and still nothing happens. The proper manager never responds to emails and the only you can get in contact with her is to go into the office. I suggest if you want to move to this community you select a lot that doesn't have any trees.

Feb 19, 2025 · Amour ExoticsSadly another Mobile Home Park slips into the abyss of neglect. Most likely this park will become Phase Ill of Celebration Point. Although they have moved new homes in, thinking it's only so they can get more $$$ to be bought out. Was a great location & community some 25+ years ago. I'm doing a update for OPV. We've had over 3 managers and maintenance men since my last post. Also they have moved in about 20 new homes. All old driveways and patios have been tore out. Replacing most drives but no patios are being replaced only small slabs for a porch. Have added lawns(big waste of money in my eyes) and some plants which half are dead or dying. Still not doing much else to actually improve the Park. I could go on but I'll just leave it as this.
Dec 02, 2024 · Les LawrenceOnce again I am forced to leave a negative review. We moved out of Oak park a year and a half go and we still have not received our security deposit. Manage tried to tell us they were subtracting the cost of cleaning the home from our deposit. We clean every inch of the home before we returned the keys. When asked for an itemized cleaning bill Oak Park was unable to provide one. They continue to date to ignore our request for our security deposit. This is a terrible place to live. Management is unresponsive and unprofessional. If i. If I could give them less than 1 star I would! I plan to spend the next few day sharing my experience across several platforms. Maybe they will send my money then.Oak Park you know how to reach me. See my previous review.
Dec 19, 2023 · Wendy JohnsonI have been living here for almost two years. I have never felt safe at my previous home but since I've moved here I feel safe and happy. The office staff along with the maintenance staff are amazing ,they are always there to help whenever I need them or have a problem and they treat you like family. I was worried when I moved here because I have multiple health problems and I was concerned about how I would be treated but Maritza, Allexis and Laura removed my worry. My neighbors are wonderful and check on me quite often.. What I love about living here are the people. The atmosphere here is so peaceful, quiet and it brings my heart so much joy.
