For many Michiganders, finding a comfortable and affordable place to call home is a top priority. In the heart of Shiawassee County, just a short drive from Lansing and Flint, you’ll discover Countryside Village, a mobile home park that offers a unique and often overlooked housing solution. This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Countryside Village, shedding light on what makes it a suitable option for individuals and families looking for a sense of community and value in their living arrangements.
Mobile home parks, or manufactured home communities as they are increasingly known, provide an appealing alternative to traditional stick-built homes or apartment rentals. They often offer greater affordability, the opportunity for homeownership, and a community-focused lifestyle. Countryside Village embodies these aspects, presenting itself as a practical and appealing choice for those seeking a balance of independence and community in the Perry area.
While individual experiences can vary, Countryside Village is part of the larger landscape of manufactured housing in Michigan, which plays a significant role in providing diverse housing options across the state. Understanding the details of what a community like Countryside Village offers can help you determine if it aligns with your housing needs and preferences in the Wolverine State.
Countryside Village boasts a strategic location at 4600 W Britton Rd, Perry, MI 48872, USA. This address places it conveniently within Perry, a charming and quiet community in Shiawassee County. For those who commute or enjoy exploring the broader Michigan landscape, its position offers excellent accessibility.
Being situated in Perry means residents of Countryside Village benefit from the serene, small-town atmosphere while still being within a reasonable driving distance of larger urban centers. Lansing, the state capital, is roughly a 30-minute drive away, offering access to a wider range of employment opportunities, educational institutions, shopping centers, and cultural attractions. Similarly, Flint is also accessible, providing another hub for amenities and services. This dual accessibility allows residents to enjoy the tranquility of rural living without sacrificing the conveniences of city life.
The accessibility of Countryside Village extends beyond major cities. Its location on West Britton Road provides straightforward access to local roads, making daily errands, school commutes, and recreational activities easy to navigate within Perry and neighboring towns. For those who rely on vehicle transportation, the park's placement on a well-maintained road ensures smooth travel to and from the community. Public transportation options may be limited in rural areas like Perry, making personal vehicles generally necessary for residents. However, this is a common consideration for those choosing to live in quieter, more spread-out communities in Michigan.

Common Area Maintenance: Services include the upkeep of shared spaces within the park, such as roads, lighting, landscaping of common areas, and potentially amenities like playgrounds or picnic areas, if available. This ensures a clean and well-maintained environment for all residents.
Utility Connections: While residents are typically responsible for their individual utility bills (e.g., electricity, gas, internet), the park usually provides the necessary infrastructure for these connections to each home site.
Waste Management: Most mobile home parks arrange for trash and recycling pick-up services for their residents, simplifying waste disposal.

Countryside Village is suitable for locals for several key reasons. This balance is often highly sought after by Michigan residents who appreciate a less hectic lifestyle but still require proximity to urban amenities.

The "All Ages" designation further promotes a diverse and vibrant community where different generations can interact and thrive.
Finally, the opportunity for homeownership within a managed community can be a significant draw. Rather than simply renting, residents have the chance to own their home, building equity and personalizing their living space, often at a more affordable price point than traditional homes. While it's important to consider all aspects, including current management responsiveness based on recent feedback, the fundamental value proposition of Countryside Village as an affordable, community-oriented housing option in a desirable Michigan location remains strong. For those seeking a comfortable, independent, and connected lifestyle in the heart of Michigan, Countryside Village offers a genuine pathway to finding a place to call home.

Countryside Village Reviews
The people that run the place think they are better than you and are kinda on a power trip. And if you break any rules they single you out and try to get rid of you. That's my experience anyways maybe I'm wrong. But that's the way it seems
May 18, 2025 · G Money (gonz)Non drinkable water. Rude irresponsible office management.Ever since switching management, the two new women are never in the office and don’t answer the phone. One of the women are extremely rude and gives out false information about appointments. She supposedly set up, But the day of the appointment will tell you she has no idea what you’re talking about.Called three times over the past week to get my name removed from my lease. So far no luck.I miss Micah and Billy. Do better ladies.

May 31, 2025 · Kristena FrickUpdate 10/2024: My mom found a place, no thanks to these guys. Notice how they reached out to other bad reviews but not this one.The new manager has a habit of screwing people over on purpose. My mom is in a pretty desperate situation to find something and they told her they had one available but she couldn't show it until today (Tuesday, 6/25). She gets all the way over there and they tell her that they rented it out yesterday, and basically gave her a “tough shit” attitude.I have moved out of here last year but my experience wasn't the greatest either with the office staff or maintenance. (Took until halfway through my lease to get a working dishwasher.)Be prepared that this corporation is willing and ready to screw you over at any moment for money.
