Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground Reviews
When we first moved into the park, a year ago, they were super friendly. As a matter of fact, you couldn’t ask for better help when it came to Mike the manager. Until it’s time for you to leave the park, all of a sudden asking for help was more of a nuisance to him than anything else. And he had absolutely no problem showing it. Really disappointed, I seriously thought he was one of the greatest people.Their rules are only for some of the campers. They will hassle and harass you over your SMALL dog being tied out in your personal area, but when you drive around the park….you see tons of other campers with dogs as big as bulldogs tied out. Nothing was done, because they would still be tied out for literally months still, even when we left. The website says they have WiFi, that’s a blatant lie. No WiFi, you will have to buy your own. We even had them reassure us there was internet, we parked and conveniently they had and kept issues. We never got internet through them. Some people said you could get a box, when asked for the said box, they said they were sold out. 🤷🏽♀️The pool is nice, for the most part. Until the owner says the pool is closed, but the next day you see people in it. Including said owner. Trying to get your kid with autism to accept the fact that he’s the owner and can do whatever you want was such a pain for me. It was only closed to certain people. We got a kiddy pool for the kids and made the best of it anyway. The bath house was always filthy, even if they cleaned it. They’re currently being completely replaced. Closed down during the entire winter, and it was too hot to breathe in there during the summer. Tons and tons of bugs. LIKE A LOT.Laundry mat…. Where do you start? It was open half the time, and even then… you were lucky to get 2 washers and 1 dryer that worked. The park for the kids was just pitiful.Friendly, as long as you’re paying. Owner wasn’t my cup of tea at all, stayed literally an entire year… he only spoke to me twice. One was fussing about the dog (He and his ol’ lady was constantly cruising around on the roads and one day.. randomly decided to just drive up into my yard and start blowing the horn at the camper… the door was open, and I was right there. I will never forget how dramatically the woman was hugged up on this big man’s arm, like she had been attacked or some thing) and said hello in passing. I guess she’s just a fearful woman or something, because when the security guard told me to go to the house at 6am and they could help me. She peeked through the blinds, saw me, but refused to answer the door. Maybe I looked like a criminal? Mike did go above and beyond to help me retrieve my lost items though. The owner is his Stepfather, the skiddish woman is his Mother. They blow you up hardcore 3-4 days before rent is due, like you forget it’s on the 1st of every month. Not sure what that was about, we always paid. When we left, it was still paid up for 4 more days. When we were leaving, and Mike got aggravated, when we asked for help… as he scoffs and leaves, his exact words to us wasn’t bye or good luck. It was, “I’m busy. It’s the 1st of the month.”Money talks, Folks! Pros? 6 miles from the Bass Pro Shop pyramid. Don’t forget to show some love to this awesome little breakfast joint called “The Haystack.”

May 21, 2025 · Jade LuedyFriendly people, quiet place- really nice with the lake next to you. The bathrooms on the other hand were terrible. It was in a container and hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. We were very happy we had a bathroom in our RV. The wifi was really bad.
Apr 24, 2025 · Stephanie AuerTravel nurse couple with 5th wheel.Stayed here June thru late September. Nice park we didn't have any issues here, nice quiet park, we parked along the lake a little extra $ but worth it, we put the kayaks in a few times... it's water. Pool was great during the summer. On-site laundry was convenient, didn't use their restroom/shower house. Would stay again, if we end up in Memphis.
