Upper O'Brien Campground

Robinson Bar Rd, Stanley, ID 83278, USA

4.0
Great place right on the Salmon River to spend the night or a couple of days. There is a one lane bridge you have to cross to get to the campground but this didn't seem to be a problem for even longer pull behinds. The sites are fairly level, fire rings and table. There is a hand pump for cool drinking water. There is only one pit toilet which looks to be original to the campground...the floors are crumbling, holes in the walls and in general poor repair. There is no host on site and the overall condition of the campground was evident of that. The cost is $20 a night. If they up graded the toilets and got a full time host for the Upper and Lower O Brien campgrounds this could be one of the best campgrounds in the area. - Flying Dutchman
