Military Discount: A "Full Season Membership with 15% US Military Discount" is available, which is a direct and appreciated promotion for service members.
Seasonal Rates & Packages: While not explicitly detailed as "promotions," the resort likely offers varying rates for different site types (RV, tent, cabin rentals) and possibly package deals for longer stays or special event weekends. The Woods Camping Resort Reviews
I have been coming to The Woods for a couple of seasons and it's a real nice getaway either solo or with a couple friends. The people from the front desk at check-in are professional and the workers at the restaurant are so friendly. The food is decent and let you order take out which is good for solo people. The amenities are nice with the pool and dance floor. The cabins are clean and the bathrooms/showers are generally clean and do a decent job of trash collection.I will give it 5 stars but if i can make a suggestion is to let people stay one night in their OVERFLOW campsite during the weekend. I think i would come more often if i could just stay one night in their overflow area. It is a lot to give up for more than one night like water/electricity but respect their policy. Overall, it is my favorite LGBT campsite and hopefully enjoy it for years to come.
Jun 17, 2025 · Adam HaleyI love it here. I've been coming since the pandemic. From the first hour I was here, I knew this was a place I had to return to. The facilities are amazing; m some of the showers are some of the nicest I've seen anywhere, let alone at a campground. The staff is friendly and helpful and the other campers are my favorite part of it all. They come from so many places, they are from different backgrounds, and they are generally welcoming and kind. Like me, everyone I know who comes here wants to return.
May 04, 2025 · Toby BlackwellAn amazing weekend Jun 13-16th. Drizzled all weekend and still had a blast. Great sundries shop, full restaurant, tons of friendly outgoing guests. Bathrooms were spotless! Two hot tubs were clutch with the cooler weather. On a sunny weekend the pool deck would be popping. The evening dance parties were surprisingly fun—great music good energy. Buy your seltzers and beers by the case before you arrive if you want them for your campfire—they’ll only sell them individually from the bar. We rented RVs and while we weren’t all colocated the sites are close enough for easy walking. Overall a great experience. Ready to go back!
Jun 16, 2025 · Tom HaasSo, came up to The Woods. This is my first time coming to a place like this. Seems there was an incident with one of our party back in 2023. The fact that he was banned due to the incident was not the problem. They told us we could drop him off somewhere and me and the other party could stay. WHAT? We can't just ditch a guy to stay. When we asked to get a refund they refused. We drove 3 hrs to get there. So we had to leave without a refund. I will not be going back here and after reading the reviews regarding the owner I'll pass. Just think it was messed up that they would not refund our money. Reading the responses I feel these people feel entitled. I don't need this kind of place. I don't care if I get banned for my honest 1 star review that hurt their feelings. I will not remove this review.Thank you for those that read this review and take their actions to heart.
May 16, 2025 · Rowan ZeroThis beautiful campground is my favorite. Well maintained with friendly professional staff. Merch shop is packed with almost everything you might need for while camping. Crouds are diverse, super fun and of all types. The swimming pool is the best spot to hang during the hot sunny days. Prices are fair and totally worth the buck. Will come again and definitely recommend it.
