4.0
Sunset Campground at Union Valley Reservoir is one of my favorite camping spots. The location is beautiful with lake access just a short walk from most sites, and the forest setting is peaceful and relaxing. The campsites are spaced out enough to give you privacy, and everything is clean and well maintained. What really made our stay stand out were the camp hosts, Floyd and Ginny. They’re just awesome. Friendly, helpful, and always around if you need anything. You can tell they really care about the campground and the people staying there. Floyd gave us some great tips about the area, and Ginny was so kind and welcoming, it really added a personal touch to the whole experience. There is cell service at the campground, which was a nice bonus if you need to check in or look something up. But it still feels like you’re getting away from it all. Between the lake, the peaceful atmosphere, and the amazing hosts, this place is an easy five stars. We’ll absolutely be back. - Bill
