Rodman Campground Reviews
Beautiful camping area. Out of the way and quiet. Boat ramp to access the St. John's River and Cross Florida Canal. Camp spots available on the canal, very shady spots everywhere. Very nice bath/shower houses that are quite clean. Friendly staff. Easy drive to Palatka (try Corky Bell for food and drink on the water front). Recommended!
May 19, 2025 · tgrigg11 TonyGThis is literally in the middle of no where!!! If you are into hiking, kayaking, fishing and visiting the local springs then this is the place for you!!! It's a great RV park with spacious parking areas. They have all the necessary hook ups for your RV. The place is kept neat and clean. The best park about the place is the peace and quiet. This is what my wife and i truly came to enjoy and we did. Break out your hiking boots, inflate your water gear and have fun!!!
Mar 11, 2025 · Shawn FlahertyMy dog and I had a great time here! It's very secluded and quiet! There's plenty of tent sites as well as RV spots. The staff is all very nice and they keep the place very clean. I arrived on a Tuesday so there were very few people there and I could pick just about anywhere I wanted to camp. The only negative I can state about this place is that it's so secluded that I didn't have phone service, but that's definitely not the fault of rodman campground. And who needs a phone anyway while you're camping? Turn off your phone and come here! I would definitely camp here again!
Feb 09, 2025 · Rick RussellLocation is perfect for accessing all hiking areas and OHV trails the forest has to offer. While providing remote and secluded camping sites. With a great view of the night sky.
Mar 22, 2025 · Nestor PereiraWas only there to check out the camp site for tents. 1. There really close to each other. No privacy. 2. There is no water source and 3 the restrooms are at the very end. A long walk or push if your in a wheelchair. And last there not to cheap. Why pay if you can drive down the road about 2 or 3 miles and put up your tent for free and if you need some water, just use your water filter. Plus the woman in the gate house was trying to sell me stuff after I told her I'm just driving in to check it out. Myself I'm never going back to this site. 20 dollars is way to much and you need to make a reservation on a computer well in advance. In the Ocala forest you just drive in and set up your tent or your small travel trailer. This place is a tent or RV camp site. The RV sites have no privacy. It's like parking in a wide open field. RV camping is not my type of camping. Wasting all that gas to drive a large home on wheels into a field don't cut it in my book. Pack your backpack with everything you need and then find a peacefully area to pitch your tent, then making your sleeping gear together, then collecting enough dead firewood for your stay and start a safe fire to make your dinner and to boil some water to make a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. And enjoy the peace and quiet. But keeping your ears on full alert, just in case a bear or any other wild animal comes close to your site. Having your bear spray or pepper spray ready or a few fire crackers or your sidearm. In Florida you can open carry while your hunting, camping or fishing.
