Riffe Lake Campground

241 Osborne Rd, Mossyrock, WA 98564, USA

4.0
Stayed 2 nights in T-5. Our site was decent but almost couldn't accommodate my large tent. The staff was very nice and helpful They have a large playground for the kids and a horse shoe pit and tetherball. The main attraction is the lake which offers amazing views and clean water for fishing and swimming. The walk to/from the lake is down a steep hill which can be very slippery if wet. I had to haul my paddle board up and down which is difficult but not impossible.Cons:Stinging Nettle around the property be careful walking on trails or off path.Hills: I'm a fairly active person but going up and down the hills during the trip took its toll.Firewood: The firewood provided by the campground was wet and difficult to light. I recommend bringing a duraflame fire starter or something similar.Porta-Potties: The Porta-Potties were very ripe and unpleasant to use. They're cleaned once a week on Tuesdays and unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday and Monday. - Joe P
