Reyes Creek Campground Reviews
Love this place and have visited multiple times. Just visited during Presidents Day, and despite multiple road closures, we decided to trust our instincts over the GPS and take the usual route. If we had followed the GPS, it would have sent us all the way up to Taft, only to loop back to a section where a chunk of the road is actually missing. As others have mentioned, you can still get there from the other side by driving on the shoulder. For the best route I highly recommend:• Going through Frazier Park• Turning left onto Lockwood Valley Rd• Entering Camp Scheideck Road into your GPS (it will be on your left)Your gps will constantly try to reroute you but the roads were clear. We made it to the camp ground without any issues despite being in a low clearance Volkswagen GTI.We grabbed wood at gas station at Frazier park ($6 each) but the host sells bundles for $10 each. There’s plenty of hiking and highly recommend sunny spots during the winter months. It got pretty cold at night so pack accordingly. We blew through 6 bundles the first night. The hosts are friendly and kind.Happy camping!
Feb 26, 2025 · Kimberly HainesSuch a beautiful campground!! I can’t wait to set up my next camping trip here!! My friends and I had such an amazing time here! Shawna and Larry are the greatest as well, so respectful and full of energy and love! So excited to make more memories here!
Apr 08, 2025 · Chris NelsonThis was an excellent campground. There were many trails all of them absolutely beautiful. The firing helped and it's very secluded with a small town. About 15 people nearby. There is no cell service And to be sureto bring all your own supplies. If you follow the Creek you will find trout. They're small but it's absolutely gorgeous. How do great time? I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody who goes camping
Dec 28, 2023 · Jesus De AlbaThis USFS campground was really nice. Situated along Reyes Creek, this campground offers a shaded and cool spot to hang your hat for the night. There are pit toilets, dumpsters, trails to hike, and fishing in the stream. Dogs are welcome too as long as they're on a leash. The campground hosts were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
Jun 02, 2025 · Mike NadeauThe campground is open even though the road is technically closed. If you don't mind driving on the shoulder around the road collapse, it's a great spot. The creek was flowing. The flys are painful during the day but they go at sunset The camp hosts are hilarious. There arent bear boxes, but bear scat abounds. Put ALL YOUR FOOD AWAY.
