Peninsula Pines Resort & Campground Reviews
The owner was so great! Always got back to me quickly when I had questions before we came. She was so helpful and friendly when we needed something. The site was nice and flat and had it's own plumbing for sewage at the site. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back!
May 09, 2023 · K LI started going to Peninsula Pines (Westphals Resort) when I was 8 (I’m now 35). We spent a week there almost every summer until I was married. Since being married, I’ve been back 4 times. This place is truly my home away from home. It was truly a restorative vacation as well. With no phones or TVs, our time was spent fishing, swimming, reading and just relaxing. The sites, sounds and the smells are imprinted in my mind...from the echoing of laughter over the lake and through the trees, to the screen doors slamming after entering or leaving the cabins, to the sound of the sand beneath our sandals as we walked down the path, to the beautiful and eerie call of the loon. The smell of the pines and the cabins just warms my heart as well. I hate to even recommend this place because I don’t ever want it to be so booked we can’t make a reservation. We were last here in 2016. We visited another resort close by this past summer. I will say there are pros and cons to each resort in the area and you just have to decide what is most important to you. I’ve attached some pictures from our vacation to Peninsula Pines in 2016.
Sep 27, 2018 · Cobert PhotographyI have been going here for over 40 years. Great place to relax and enjoy the week. Always ready to go back.
May 19, 2017 · Dave SchultzWell I guess when you get screwed once you get screwed twice. Gave our week away while we were still there the 1st time. Glad they canceled and you had empty cabins. Now you screwed us again thanks. Glad I was able to find a place for my family. You broke every Cabin Rule ever for guests. Now you just screwed the other family who had been going there for 12 or more yrs. Great Job. Even canceled them Without them even knowing. The other Resorts in the area are well aware of what happend. This review is on how its ran. May explain why the person who grew up there for 50 yrs left a few yrs ago. Just WOW is all I have to say. So just be cause you stayed that week don't count on being there the same week next yr or yr after.
