We stayed here for our float trip. The campground was nice. The bathrooms could have used some TLC. The staff was nice but my purse and wallet went missing from our tent while we were on our float trip so don't bring valuable things or lock them up somewhere.
Jul 08, 2025 · Christy FergusonA great ‘floating, wading in the water, and partying campground.’ The staff are wonderful. The property is nice. Some of the clientele are a bit loud. Say, music at 4am.
Jun 02, 2025 · Jeff ReichVery clean campground, was quiet past 10pm friendly staff.River is crystal clear and relatively shallow also flow is about 2 mph fairly swift without the need to paddle except to steer. Useful info since the float is 6 miles and first pick up is at 3pm. Take your time or delay start time or you will be waiting for quite some time for pick up.Pay attention to shower/bath locations. Depending on where your campsite is can be quite a walk. They were all clean, stocked and well taken care of.
Jun 23, 2024 · Brian MThis was a nice bare bones campground this time of year. Nice, large sites near the river and near a Dollar General and other stores for necessities. Within a short drive to Elephant Rocks State Park and Johnson Shut-ins. Both amazing and unique parks.
Sep 23, 2024 · TonyNConnor CampbellDecided to detour off the TransAmerican Route 76 and ride 3 miles to this campsite. Stocked up at the Dollar General before entering campground. Did primitive camping which comes to find out it’s a one mile walk to the site by the river. Gravel is too lose to ride my bike. Site was okay. Too far to the showers. Bathrooms is a long walk. Decent toilets and showers, not the best. Bugs. Customer service was nice and helpful. Camp site was unseen from the RVs and I was the only one there in the evening.
