Newport Campground Reviews
Ms.Victoria runs a tight ship. She is an excellent manager for this campground. Zero trash, clean restrooms, sites are well- maintained. We enjoy this campground for weekend getaways, and always know we will be treated well. The sites could use a little sprucing up with foliage as they would provide more privacy between the campsites. Maybe the powers that be could purchase a few FL natives which are quick growing and drought tolerant. All in all Newport Campground is most enjoyable. We stayed in a travel trailer.
May 29, 2025 · Westminster Gardens Chaplain TrishThe location and nature are great. We stayed here for the night. The park employee does not know how to communicate with customers. She allows herself to raise her voice and roll her eyes. The employee urgently needs courses in communication with people.
Jun 26, 2025 · Fairy tale author EddaVictoria is a delightful campground host. She works very hard to help camper's stays be pleasant experiences. The campground is right across the street from the road leading to the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge which is also a very special place. Highly recommended delightfully small Wakulla County treasure.
May 23, 2025 · Robert SchillingA great little campground if you are looking for just the basics. Sites were level it was quiet and very close to the St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge. Bathrooms were clean. No amenities here such as playgrounds, camp store, etc. But nice sites and a nice boardwalk out to observation deck on the river.
Mar 26, 2025 · Sheryll WaiteOn the pro's side the price is incredible. It's close to many of the natural places to visit. The bathrooms are clean and well taken care of, there is a boat launch located within the campground, and the site includes picnic tables, grills, and burn rings. On the cons side, there is no playground and really no amenities. It is close to a main very busy noisy road. Also, it is infested with tiny biting bugs they call no see ums. These things are out all day and night and they bite constantly. You will need a lot of bug spray that must be reapplied several times through out the day while here to make it manageable. On the plus side most of your time will be taken up with all the things to do and you likely won't be spending much time at the site anyway. It's a solid 3 😁 for me.
