nason's beach & campground
For us Mainers, the call of Sebago Lake during the warmer months is almost irresistible. Its vast, clear waters and scenic shores represent the very best of our state's outdoor offerings. Among the many ways to experience this iconic lake, Nason's Beach & Campground in Sebago, Maine, stands out as a beloved destination. This privately owned gem offers a unique blend of comfortable camping and direct access to one of Maine's most cherished freshwater bodies, making it a perfect spot for families, friends, and anyone seeking a refreshing lakeside escape.
Nason's Beach & Campground isn't just a place to pitch a tent or park an RV; it's a vibrant community where summer memories are made. With its excellent swimming area and dedication to maintaining a pristine environment, it provides a safe and enjoyable setting for all ages. Locals who have visited repeatedly speak highly of the friendly workers and the overall positive atmosphere. While it's important to come prepared for the sunny Maine days – a friendly tip suggests bringing your own shade for the beach – the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive. It’s a place where the simple joys of lakeside living are prioritized, allowing visitors to truly unwind and reconnect with nature and each other.
Nason's Beach & Campground is conveniently located at 771 Sebago Rd, Sebago, ME 04029, USA. This address places it directly on the western shoreline of Sebago Lake, one of Maine's largest and most popular freshwater lakes. The town of Sebago itself is nestled in Cumberland County, within Maine's picturesque Lakes Region. This makes it an easily accessible destination for residents across Southern and Central Maine, typically less than an hour's drive from Portland, and straightforward to reach via well-maintained state routes.
The campground's direct access to Sebago Lake is a significant advantage. The public beach and boat ramp are key features, providing immediate entry to the lake's vast expanse for swimming, boating, and fishing. Customers highlight the ease of access, noting that parking is available right near the beach, which is a major convenience, especially for families with gear. Being a privately owned establishment, the owners have a vested interest in maintaining the quality and tranquility of the area. This is evident in their guidelines, such as the prohibition of jet skis, which helps preserve the peaceful ambiance of the lake for all users. This commitment ensures that visitors can "comfortably bring your families here and have a great day enjoying the lake." The campground operates seasonally, with the beach and boat ramp open daily from April 1st to September 30th, 8 AM to 8 PM, and the campground itself opening on May 15th for the season.

Nason's Beach & Campground, as a privately owned and operated establishment, may not publicly advertise frequent, wide-ranging promotions like larger campground chains. Their booking system relies on direct phone reservations, and their official website details the rates:
- Nightly Rate: $45.00
- Weekly Rate: $285.00
- Monthly Rate: $1,140.00
- Seasonal Rate: $5,600.00
These rates are subject to a 9% ME lodging tax.
While explicit "promotions" are not listed, their pricing structure inherently offers savings for longer stays. For instance, booking a week saves you money compared to seven individual nightly bookings. Similarly, monthly and seasonal rates provide significant value for extended stays.
It is always recommended to call the campground directly to inquire about any specific offers that might be available, especially for longer bookings or during off-peak times within their operating season (May 15th to September 30th). They also mention:
- Early Booking for Long Stays: They start booking week-long and longer reservations on February 1st each year.
- Later Booking for Shorter Stays: Shorter reservations (less than a week) begin booking Memorial Day weekend.
This phased booking approach indirectly benefits those planning longer vacations by giving them priority access. Any unadvertised specials or package deals, if available, would most likely be communicated directly over the phone.

Nason's Beach & Campground Reviews
First time coming here and hoping to come again as soon as possible! My grandma brought me here as a grandma, grand daughter day and i absolutely loved it I love how this place has a little store too where you can buy food snacks and drinks. The workers are really nice and the swimming area is excellent. Just a friendly warning that there are not any trees near the beach area that can provide natural shade so I would recommend bringing an umbrella. Overall great place would definitely come back with some more family and friends :)
Jul 01, 2022 · Claire CochraneThis is a wonderful spot! The fact that it is privately owned means that the guidelines are set by the owner. I mention this because an earlier comment made about no jetskis. The reason this is such a beautiful place is because the owners have maintained it. You can comfortably bring your families here and have a great day enjoying the lake.
Jul 10, 2023 · Karen EmersonJust a warning to anyone wanting to use the boat launch to put in a jet ski, they will not allow it. I realize that this is a private business and they can make whatever rules they wish, I just don’t see the logic in it. Jet ski’s are no longer as loud as they used to be, in fact, the cigarette boats that are often on the lake are much louder. I had only planned on putting in on Nason’s beach and riding in a different area so as not to disturb the campers. I had also planned on parking there and buying drinks and snacks in their store so they lost out on my money today. I will gladly spend it elsewhere.
Jul 20, 2023 · Karen HarwoodWhat a great beach! I've been coming here for about 30 years now. Good space for swimming, sun bathing, boat launch, food right next door. Perfect for families.
Jul 20, 2017 · Karl BrodkaI can't rate the campground because we only use it for a boat ramp... However super cool staff always friendly easy ramp and the camper people always seem happy... also shout out to the lil dude who said the boat was sexy and wanted to take it for a ride
