Mahlon Dickerson Campgrounds

955 Weldon Road, RV Area (Campground Office), Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849, USA

4.0
We absolutely love the location. I have family in the area and we love camping. Perfect! Clean facilities, campgrounds are clean and swept up, the fire pit cleaned as well. Since we can’t do fire right now, we have hot packs for bed warning. Tent is toasty and warm on ground or if bad weather comes, we go into the Lean to off ground. We had our small, old lady dog and she loved it! We had kept her on leash due to the coyotes. Be careful as usual when it comes to the wildlife, they were there first. Do make sure you know what hunting is happening and what kind of hunting. They keep guests informed on any restrictions or what weaponry is acceptable for NJ Parks and recreation also fire risk levels. We won’t be cooking on the fire but that is what propane works well for. Excellent campground and staff! Recommend highly! Thank you! - diane smith
