Littlefield Recreation Area Campground A Reviews
Full hookup sites were spacious and pretty level with plenty of room between. Campground light poles were not functional so the only light was at the restroom. There is no place to put a camp paid and reserved receipt anywhere so bring your unit with you. There were some sites that were vacant but had a tarp or chair in them, so we assumed those were taken and paid for? Park staff are not available to ask questions as we called the office several times with no answer. We left a message but nobody returned our call. Grass is kept way too long so it is buggy, sappy from trees and very wet. There are numerous trees with a lot of widow makers or low hanging branches that we could not get under without scraping the top of our travel trailer in the campsites as well as on the roads in the campgrounds. Most of the trees were not what you want to park under: mulberries, walnuts, oaks and hackberry. Be prepared to have plenty of extra hose and electric cord as water and electric are shared and are helter skelter everywhere! Sewer is located behind under the trailer and very inconvenient to reach and hook into, we needed 2 sewer hoses. Restroom was smelly all the time, walls and floors filthy and full of spiders and bugs. The only shower facility we found in the entire park was at the beach for lake rinse off after swimming. Plenty of lake access for sitting and viewing the water but too weedy for fishing from shore. Cell service and TV reception was nil. Overall the park looks good untill you try to camp there. We will not be back.😕
