Leach Homestead campground Reviews
My family and I have stayed at Leech Homestead several times now. Mr Victor is super friendly and makes your stay as pleasant as possible. His dog Blu is very friendly and will hang out and walk around the lake and pond with you. Lots of fun fishing, swimming or hanging out around the campsite. He has done very well building an incredible property and creating an incredible experience. Google only let's me give 5 stars, but I'd give 10 stars in a heartbeat!
Jun 07, 2025 · Frederick MohrWe booked this Hipcamp last minute while travelling the SCAR and couldn’t have been more pleased. The site was amazing! The view of the large pond was absolutely beautiful and made for a peaceful, scenic stay. It was great to have access to a hot shower and bathroom. Best of all, this campground is off leash friendly. Our dogs love romping around and exploring new areas. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet escape that also has great fishing!
May 04, 2025 · Tammie SlaughterI highly recommend this place for all campers and anglers. Theres so many fish to catch, and all the amenities you need in a campsite, INCLUDING an indoor bathroom and shower! The spots are private and secluded all over the property as well. My fiance and i had the most amazing camping trip, and im so glad i came across this place! We will be back asap.
Apr 07, 2025 · AshWe have camped all over and Leach Homestead is my favorite place to camp! Mr. Victor is so welcoming and responsive. Our favorite spot is by the fire pit near the lake. Cooking on a campfire is my favorite part of camping but fishing is a close second. We joke it's not really fishing at the Leach Homestead, it's catching. The kids love catching. However, if you want to fish for larger Bass and Catfish he has those too! There is truly something for everyone, swimming, kayaking, fishing, sun bathing, bird watching, relaxing by a fire, completely unplugged at a tent site or plugged in with an RV. There is no better to relax and unwind. We plan to return again and again. Making memories that will last a lifetime.
Jun 07, 2025 · SaraI stayed at Leach Homestead for two nights and had a great experience. Vick was very friendly and responsive, which made the stay even better. One of the dogs, Blue, is super sweet—she’ll happily hang out with you if you’re up for some company. I didn’t fish, but I saw plenty of big fish in both ponds, and the birdwatching was excellent with lots of different species around. It was also great having a bathroom and shower available—definitely a nice perk for a rustic setup. It was a bit basic, but it did the job just fine. I had 1-2 bars of Wi-Fi pretty much the whole time, which was a pleasant surprise and made it easy to stay connected. Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot and I’d definitely come back!
