Lakeview Campsite Reviews
Primitive (tent) camping here is great! We had plenty of space and privacy at site G, the grounds are well maintained and the owners are friendly. It really has a summer camp sort of vibe. Will definitely stay here again for our next beach trip! Please be aware that bringing in your own firewood is not permitted at this campground. Firewood is available for sale at the camp store for a very reasonable price, and it’s nice and dry!
Jun 30, 2025 · Alexandra BaudouxWe had 3 families stay here and our dogs. I would agree that this is a tight ship, but it was quiet, clean, and full of things to do. We fished nearly every day, paddle boarded, went to Nordhouse dunes, and our kids enjoyed the sand piles, pool, and tether ball. We called ahead for a site suggestion and the sites we got were perfect for what we needed. They were big, grassy and shaded. The owners work hard and it shows. The property was well maintained, quiet, and clean. We did get a little bit of a talking to about our boys using Womens bathroom (they were 9 and under and Dad wasn’t with us), but nothing too rude. The lake there is really swampy. It’s great for fishing or canoeing/kayaking but really mucky, even far out from the shore. It didn’t bother us, since there is a pool and Lake Michigan is so close. We actually came to really love our evenings at the boat launch quietly fishing as the sun went down. We had a great week!
Aug 13, 2022 · Erika KillionLakeview Campsite gets 4 stars for mostly nostalgic reasons. Everything needs updating. The bathrooms are barely above pit toilets, the showers trickle Lukewarm water, and the docks are falling apart. The owners are super great and chill and love people. The campground is beautiful and established, hidden, quiet, and child/dog friendly. The pool is nice too!
Sep 05, 2024 · Ethan HunterVery nice campground. We took our granddaughter for the fist time. She had a blast. She also went fishing for first time ever and caught a bluegill.
Jun 10, 2025 · Joyce DulakNice campground. Reasonably kept, spacious site although we found it poorly laid out for our average sized camper. Didn't run into any staff after check in so don't anything about some of the other reviews problems with rules or staff. We played our radio under the awning, had the AC on mid day and no one bothered us about it. Didnt use the bath house but did look inside out of curiosity, it was clean. Met some nice folks and enjoyed a relaxing weekend camp. Decent little store on site. We will return. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
