Apr 20, 2025 · susan welchThe place is an tv resort not really set up for a 3 or 4 night camping stay. The sites are too close together and no shade. The boat launch is nice and the people are friendly. Just not really a campground as we thought.
Dec 20, 2024 · Maurice LeavittThe lady who runs this is very friendly, nice, and helpful. This is a bit out of the way, but that is also a selling point. Spots are shady and the whole place is very natural. The place is generally quiet with the exception of, in our case, a periodic dune buggy. It is on the lake and there is a floating dock for small boats. They have miniature horses which are exceptionally cute, but luckily I never smelled them at our camp site. It is a bit of a drive to most things, but overall this place is a nice, relaxing place to set up camp for a while.
Apr 16, 2023 · Scott ArnoldDrove 2 hours to check out this "resort" only to be told I must have a reservation as people live there. When I asked the lady on the golf cart "so I drove 2 hours for nothing" she said yes and I could have called. She said that I had to leave. I was there for all of 2 minutes. There are large ruts in the dirt road and the area I was able to see during my 2 minute visit was not nice at all. If there are any nice areas in this "resort" I didn't get to see them. This place is absolutely nothing like the photos on the website (except for the view of the large open area-it was beautiful). Save yourself time and avoid this one.
Jul 02, 2023 · Patty BoggsThis place should be called a home in the forest! So cozy yet very private feeling. A lot of the rvs on the sites are seasonal so they were unoccupied which I enjoyed. The sites are a really nice size. We had a 28 foot motor home and a suburban and still so much room. The family that owns it is super welcoming and accommodating. I had my 4 and 6 year old with me and felt very safe letting them walk around together. Omie is the camp ground grandma. The sweetest lady! Every morning she dropped off a bag of carrots for my kids to go feed the horses. They really enjoyed her. She also write little books about the farm animals and she signed a few of them and gifted them to my girls. It was all so sweet and we really enjoyed our stay. I think we will definitely be back next summer.
