★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The campground itself is beautiful, off the beaten path and not maintained really well. Absolutely recommend! However.... We were 3 guys on a motorcycle camping trip and checked the USDA website to make sure the campground was open with access to the "facilities", which were open according to the website. we understood there is no running water. When we arrived the "facilities" were locked and remained locked. So glad we came prepared with necessities. If you are tent camping, bring your own toilet!
March 13 · Jason SteelI was there for a night shooting stars but ran into a cloudy + thunder storm night. Definitely be back.My 2nd review.Spend a night by the boat ramp for Milky Way shoot. Perfect !! Despite a "little" light pollution from Mesa-Phoenix and Globe, the sky is clear and I got a few shots. Highly recommended for fellow astrophotographers.
October 12 · Ton TranNice free camping with boat ramp. Vault toilets in good shape. Beautiful view of the Reservoir
March 09 · chris smaglisPeace and quiet nice breeze 78 for a high
March 01 · curtis sherrillIt’s a Dispersed Campground, so no frills except that there is a boat ramp. Plenty of parking for boaters. There is two campsites. One is an open area with small rock fire rings that can accommodate all sorts of campers and more if you’re really friendly. The other is the remains of 40 or so numbered campsites. It is structured like a maintained campground but it’s not maintained. Either site will handle any size rig.
