- Discounted Rate for Cyclists: This is a primary promotion. The campground offers a discounted rate specifically for bicycle tourers. This is particularly beneficial given its location directly on the ACA (Adventure Cycling Association) Northern Tier route. Beyond this, their "Tubin' Taxi" service can also be seen as a value-added offer. While it has a set fee ($10 per person as per a recent review), the convenience of including parking, tube use, and shuttle service to the put-in spot makes it a comprehensive and hassle-free package for enjoying the White River, eliminating the need for campers to arrange their own logistics. This bundle provides significant convenience and value for tubing enthusiasts.
Given the campground's "small basic" nature, it's unlikely to have complex, rotating seasonal promotions like larger commercial campgrounds. However, directly contacting them is always the best approach for the most current information. They might have unadvertised rates for certain off-peak periods or for extended stays, or perhaps special arrangements for groups. Always reach out via phone to inquire about the most up-to-date pricing and any potential offerings tailored to your visit.

Small basic campground, but conveniently close to South Royalton and right on the river. As a bicycle tourer it is right of the ACA Northern Tier route . Discounted rate for cyclists. They have drinking water (although it isn't plumbed) and porta potties, otherwise a very basic, site, but it is a quick ride into town for food and other needs.
Jun 16, 2025 · Tom KowalskiHeard about their Tubin' Taxi service and had to go check it out! It was a great day for it today, sunny and a "feels like" temp of 98°F 🥵. $10 a person gives you parking, tube use, and shuttle bus service to a put-in spot up-river (they can help you have a longer or shorter tube trip as you wish). Then you just tube yourselves back down to the campground! Friendly owners and nice place. Bring lots of water, and a dry-bag was very helpful to put phones and stuff in and attaches to the tubes. You could probably do a floating cooler and attach to the tubes also. Important - wear good water shoes and of course sunscreen!! ☀️😎We are travelers working for the summer at DHMC, and have no way to keep our own river tubes or haul them around, so we super appreciated this easy way to go tubing here! We will definitely be back again for tubing down the White River and highly recommend this place for anyone looking to go tubin' in the area.

Mar 23, 2024 · Tammy AyersNice location. No water or electric. Only one port-a-potty. Very friendly owners.
Jun 25, 2023 · Paul MeolaWe were a little skeptical about going to this campground as it is posted as rustic. We have a solar panel and a generator so it was not a problem at all. We never even had to use the generator and the natural beauty of the place more than made up for the lack of electricity. Our site was large and right alongside of the White River. We had a fire ring and a picnic table. The grass was trimmed and the entire place was well cared for. Most sites are quite private and the people are friendly and caring. In a corral is a white miniature pony. He is friendly and beautiful. The campground is pet and family friendly and everyone has River access for soaking and fishing. We had some rainbow trout while we were there. It was fresh out of the water and delicious but not the only species in the river. There is access to an outside shower and porta potties. We went with friends and they were delighted with the soothing sound of the river running at night. The campground is quite large so if you like walking or hiking you have plenty of room to do that. You can also go tubing on the river. There is a mini yellow school bus there used for transporting tubers. What a great way to relax. We wish we lived closer so that we could spend more time there. Our friends, who are from Nova Scotia swear they are going back.Occasionally there are special events like rafting contests etc. We were impressed with the peacefulness of the area and the friendliness of the owners and clientele. It is Mother Nature at her best.
