As a state park campground, Hammocks Beach State Park Mainland Campground primarily operates on a standard fee structure for its sites, which typically offers excellent value for the quality of facilities and access to natural beauty. While specific promotional offers or discounts are not regularly advertised in the same way a private business might, it’s always a good idea for North Carolina residents to check the official North Carolina State Parks website (ncparks.gov) for any current announcements.
Occasionally, state parks may offer special programs or events that include reduced or waived fees for certain activities, or provide passes that offer benefits for frequent visitors to multiple state parks. For example, some programs might focus on environmental education or community engagement, which could indirectly lead to special access or opportunities. Active military personnel and veterans may also find specific discounts or programs available through state park systems, so inquiring about such possibilities upon booking or arrival is recommended.
Furthermore, look out for special events hosted by the park throughout the year, which might include free educational programs, guided hikes, or nature observations. These events, while not direct discounts on camping, add significant value to your stay and enhance the overall experience at no additional cost. We encourage you to plan your visit around these enriching opportunities to make the most of your time at Hammocks Beach State Park Mainland Campground.

Hammocks Beach State Park Mainland Campground Reviews
Great new campground! A little noise from Camp Lejeune and practicing jets, but the birds, awesome bath house, large, flat sites, and breeze off the water more than made up for that!
May 08, 2025 · Robyn S.Beautiful new campground. Lawns are well kept and bathhouse was exceptional. Sites are large and utilities modern and well planned. There is no privacy or shade since all the trees were removed within the campground. Others will view that as safety... just a matter of personal preferences.Hammocks Beach State Park is amazing.
May 10, 2025 · GG0129What a wonderful new campground !!!The sites are huge & very level. Our host Debbie was great also. We were fortunate to have great weather.
Apr 02, 2025 · Elizabeth WhiteVery nice family friendly , quiet. close to beaches , recommend taking ferry over to Bear Island.
Jun 08, 2025 · Kathy HattonBrand new campground that's only been open a few weeks. It's a small campground with 4 small cabins, several camper spaces, tent sites, and primitive sites. There's not many trees by the sites so it helps to bring a canopy for your picnic table. Bathhouse is large and clean.
