★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This area is tucked away off a boat dock in the corner of the lake, giving it a private and peaceful vibe. We visited the day before the 4th of July, and while it was busy, it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. The space is well-designed with imported sand along the bank and a closed-off area in the water to keep it safe and contained. There are also two playgrounds, built-in barbecues, and shaded pavilions—perfect for families or group outings. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more shade and repair some of the seating areas. Otherwise, it’s a great spot to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. $5/car.---Let me know if you'd like a shorter version or to customize it further!
July 09 · Mari AshI take my family camping here throughout the summer. We’ve always had a good time rain or shine. Something that stood out to me was a fellow named Nash. We had left on accident a whole bag of expensive linens for our mattresses and pillows as well as a blanket that has been in our family for years. We were frantically checking our storage unit where we store our camping gear, retracing our steps, thinking that we were never going to see this stuff again. We thought we had gotten everything from the campsite and even looked. Out of nowhere later that evening, Nash called us and said that he had found a bag that he thinks belong to us. Needless to say, he could’ve took them home for himself, or simply threw them away like most people would do, but not this guy. Integrity and thought for another family and their belongings. If I had a campground, I would want a guy like him running it.
July 14 · Brandon CravensWe went to a family member's birthday party at the recreation area, cost $5 per car which I didn't really expect to pay but that's ok. . After the cake and ice cream the kids went swimming. Would love to go back and camp some day.
June 12 · Beverly BarrettDrove from Florida to Floating Mills Park to go see family for 4th of July only to be told by supervisors/management that i cant go visit my family. When we finally got permission to go in it was a good time only to be disrupted by the management again about parking even though we were only there to pick up the cooler to put in the bed of the truck. Location is Cool, Management needs a lot of work.
July 08 · Hunter BellAwesome park with super nice staff! No a bad site in the entire park. Many right on the water.Friendly campers and a great location!
