Finland Campground Reviews
The bugs and horse flies were terrible! Single person toilets were terrible. Campsites were small and trees down everywhere that had been down for awhile. This place needs a clean up. We traveled 7 hrs and left after one night. No fishing, no swimming.
Jul 06, 2025 · Douglas MoenVery picturesque spot on the Baptism river. Sites are spaced apart enough to not be camping and see your neighbors. Very quite and peaceful since most people pass it by. Worth checking out of in the area!
May 09, 2025 · Jeremy LushineLove this campground! Sites along the Baptism river. Other ones nestled among dense forest. Most have adequate trees/vegetation to give a secluded feeling. Vault toilets. Located far enough up the shore to wake up and hit Oberg, Lutsen, Grand Marais. All my favorites. However, I HATE PEOPLE WHO COME TO THE NORTH WOODS AND RUN GENERATORS ALL NIGHT. If you can’t go without power for a NIGHT, stay at a hotel. These should be banned. I've heard wolf packs howling at night in the Finland State Forest. But if some jack@ss has a generator roaring, you're not going to experience it.
May 18, 2025 · James BenderWe paid for our site, put up all of our stuff, and ended up having to go back home for something. In the mean time our vehicle stopped working, the staff was Super helpful and kept an eye on our tents and stuff until we could find a way back up there to get it. We appreciate you guys so much!
Aug 26, 2024 · Angela MalosiPretty good campground. It's a primitive site with about 25-30 sites total. Has porta John, no building bathroom, well pump (just one). Sites are closer to each other than I thought, but surprisingly full 5G mobile strength!Site is only 8 minutes from Tettegouche visitor center.
