Doran Campground Reviews
Lovely experience!!!!The park's upkeep is impressive.Flusing toilets and showers! 👍👏Potable water as well. The local population consists of friendly individuals who balance their sociability with respect for others' privacy. A significant advantage of this location is its proximity to the harbor, dock, fishing, and crabbing areas. Moreover, there is an array of restaurants and local stores in the surrounding area. On our initial night, the wind was substantial, reflecting the typical weather patterns in Bodega Bay. Conversely, the subsequent day was flawless, underscoring the necessity of flexibility in the face of changing weather. As night falls, the soothing sound of waves crashing against the ocean shore lulls you to sleep. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Northern California.
Jun 02, 2025 · Lynn O ChanchomIn the winter sometimes we get lucky with great weather. It was the best weather for the whole week on the first week of December. Camp sites are great, although they need to cut out some of that iceplant. Bathrooms/showers are great. We go there at least once a year.
Dec 27, 2024 · Steve ScovilleCan I say about Doran campgrounds there's nothing bad whatsoever coming to a beautiful campsite. With your family and friends, your loved ones, it's beautiful, there's lots of fishing, crabbing, fun boating. If you have a boat or I'm just swimming in the water, don't need a book you could just swim. They are getting these new awesome remote control wheelchairs for the beach, so people can take themselves out there instead of pushed.I can't wait do you see them...
Jun 27, 2025 · Yvette BeaulacMy all time favorite place to camp. But don't take my word for it. Here are some pictures! ❤️
Feb 01, 2025 · Jennifer HayesThis place is very popular, so reservations are almost always fully booked during holidays. However, you can sometimes secure a spot due to cancellations from existing reservations. It is well known for crabbing. Kids can enjoy playing on the beach while catching clams and crabs, making it an ideal spot for natural outdoor activities. However, since the campground is surrounded by the sea, it can get quite cold when the wind blows strong. Each spot has a water faucet, a fire pit, and a table available.
