Creekside Camping, L.L.C. is a small, intimate campground, boasting only 12 full hookup sites. This limited number contributes to its quiet, uncrowded atmosphere, ensuring a truly relaxing experience. The campground's name perfectly describes its setting, with a babbling creek running just across the road from the campsites, providing a soothing soundtrack to your stay. Reviews consistently highlight the exceptional hospitality of the owners, Mark and Amy, who are praised for their friendliness, helpfulness, and genuine enjoyment in meeting and talking to their guests. This personal touch creates a welcoming, family-like environment that sets Creekside Camping apart.
While the entrance road might require a slow and careful approach, as noted by some visitors, the reward is a beautiful property nestled between two verdant hills. It's a place where spotty cell phone service is seen as a feature, not a drawback, encouraging true disconnection and immersion in the natural surroundings. For West Virginians in the northern part of the state, Creekside Camping, L.L.C. offers a convenient, quiet, and friendly retreat, perfect for a relaxing weekend or a peaceful stopover on your journey.
Creekside Camping, L.L.C. is located at 191 Gillespie Ln, Triadelphia, WV 26059, USA. Access to the campground is a point to note for prospective visitors. While the exact distance from major highways is not explicitly stated in the provided information, customer reviews suggest that the "entrance road" can be "horrible" and advises visitors to "go slow, and be careful." This indicates that while the location itself is peaceful and idyllic, the final stretch of road might be unpaved, narrow, or otherwise challenging. However, the positive experiences of campers who navigated it successfully suggest that it is manageable with appropriate caution. This road, though a minor hurdle, leads to a truly tranquil destination.
Despite its secluded feel, Creekside Camping's location in Triadelphia places it within reasonable proximity to necessary amenities and attractions. While it encourages "unplugging," visitors are not entirely cut off. Larger towns like Wheeling are likely within a short driving distance, offering access to grocery stores, gas stations, and a wider variety of dining and shopping options should you need them during your stay. Creekside Camping, L.L.C. Reviews
We stayed here just 2 nights on our way "west". We are full-time travelers and realized we had not stayed anywhere in West Virginia yet, so my wife booked our stay here. Other than the horrible entrance road (go slow, and be careful), this was a nice stopover between Gettysburg, PA and Ohio. On arrival, we met Mark who led us to our site and helped get us settled. Because our stay was so short, we didn't see him (or Amy) again until I walked over to pay them. We had some nice chats during our time there, and I can tell they really enjoy their work and meeting and talking to people. The property is pretty, with the creek just across the road. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Aug 16, 2024 · Rick SussmanGreat campground, tired of being plugged in all of the time, unplug and unwind from all of those electronics here, nestled between two of the rolling hills in northern WV, cell phone service is spotty and that was fine with us.A great relaxing weekend and the owners, Mark and Amy were great, small mom and pop owned campground, only 12 full hookup sites with babbling creek across the road from campsites, fabulous quiet place, will definitely go back again.
May 17, 2021 · Joseph TestaWe had the pleasure of staying at creekside camping llc this year when we evacuated from the florida storms. AMY was a blessing and their place was beautiful. They are dog friendly and so wonderful. My kids loved their playground and we loved their waterfall.
Nov 07, 2024 · Coralis NastalNice quiet place with a small waterfall and a huge rock up the hillside. Everyone is super friendly and easy going. The roads a little rough but it keeps the cars from going fast in and out.
Jul 03, 2022 · SkiPiStayed in this campground for 9 months. Some of the best people you will ever meet running it. It is quiet and nestled in the woods but still only about 15 minutes from nice restaurants and shopping. Loved being able to hear the waterfall at night. The way the campground is set up almost every single site has the creek in front of it.
