Coler Mountain Bike Preserve Campground Reviews
Had the privilege of staying here for 5 days in one of the Class B spots. The. I eat bath house I’ve ever seen (outdoor shower is a must btw). Can ride your bike anywhere and the staff was super helpful and welcoming. I will be back!
May 20, 2025 · William NubileI would not recommend this place and would not stay here again unless I only needed a spot to crash for the night as the location and amenities are great. We only stayed 1 of 4 nights that I had booked.Pros- excellent showers, elevated tent pad, free electric for charging bikes/ batteries ext…, bike wash station, location.Cons - micromanaging host from the minute I arrived and throughout the first day we were there - interesting how much this impacted our trip - it made me not want to be there after traveling 12 hours, poor gait management to enter the campground - got sent wrong code - mocked me like it was my fault, no dogs allowed (left mine at home this trip), poor communication prior to visit (multiple unanswered emails). Non refundable reservation per website - didn’t even bother asking for a refund.

Jun 28, 2025 · Michael AllenFantastic experience. Will definitely be back. The place was beautiful. Absolutely enjoyed my whole time there. The place is so well taken care of! The camp site was perfect for tent camping. The bike wash was an unexpected delight, able to wash your bike after some rugged mountain trails is very nice. Water bottle fill up as well. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Nice toilets and showers. The showers were very nice after some trails. Staff are present on site and are very friendly. This place definitely beat staying in a hotel for me.
Oct 08, 2022 · Anthony ShriverWhat an amazing setup these guys have! Platform decks keep your tent up off the ground, quick and easy access to all of Coler Mountain Trails, hot showers, and well maintained grounds and campsites. The Airstrip bistro is a 2 minute bike ride from the camp grounds and has food (their salsa is the best), coffee, beer, and snacks; they have a beer garden, rooftop seating, and a nice seating area with a few big adult size swings. Slaughter Pen trails are fairly close and was a quick ride from the south parking lot through town.I couldn’t find much about it online, but if you are looking to cool down on a hot day, or if cold plunges after a day of riding is something you like, check out Spring Box Pool. It’s below the camper van parking and is easily accessible by foot on the trail. It was about 45-50 in April and was perfect!Worth the trip from Central Texas! 10/10 would recommend, and I will be returning.
