Cherokee Campground Reviews
As others have stated, this is a great campground. Very friendly and accommodating owners. This is not resort camping - so if you're into KOA this might not be for you but it is exactly what we look for in a campground. Quiet, nice sized lots with water, power and sewer nestled in the Georgia mountains. Close to hiking trails and water falls. Beautiful skies at night time, very peaceful. They also have a playground for little ones if you're travelling with kids. I only regret that we don't have more time to stay here but we will definitely come back here when we are in the area. Thanks for a great stay.

Jun 24, 2025 · Larry CWe loved this campground, it was peaceful with large sites, a brand new pirate playground for our littles, nice and clean grounds no trash. Pat was excellent at communicating and helpful with directions and Phil was super pleasant and checked us in easily. We had plenty of room for our 35 ft fifthwheel, with full hookups at our spot. They had wireless, it was a bit spotty but better than nothing because my phone (verizon) had no service.Close enough to town and unicoi state park to be convenient without all the noise of the state park campers and traffic of Helen. We'll definitely keep this on our favorite places to stay for next time we come thru!
Jun 20, 2024 · A Nelson (DZ Dog Mom)A great quiet and peaceful campground. Very nice owners and permanent residents. Full hook ups, reasonably priced, close to Helen, GA. It was just what we were looking for!
