The focus here is on immersion in the natural environment. With its beautiful lake and surrounding forested landscape, the campground offers a genuine connection to Idaho's wilderness. From the moment you arrive, you'll feel the stress of everyday life melt away, replaced by a sense of peace and adventure. The campground is a testament to the simple pleasures of the outdoors—a place to hike, fish, relax by a campfire, and simply enjoy the company of nature.
Nestled in a more secluded area of Idaho's landscape, the Big Trinity Lake Campground is accessible for those prepared for a bit of an adventure. Its address is listed as Mountain Home, ID 83647, USA. It is important to note that accessing this particular campground requires navigating some unpaved roads. Based on feedback from visitors, it's highly recommended to have a vehicle with good clearance, and even a four-wheel-drive vehicle is suggested for the road from Anderson Ranch. The road from Featherville, however, is reported to be an easier drive, providing a more accessible route for most vehicles. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went on a Monday, so the place was almost totally deserted- very nice. The lake and scenery are beautiful and the fishing was good. This campground is for sleeping in tents, there really isn't any flat ground except for where it has been leveled for tents. I really didn't see anywhere you could park a trailer or larger RV. The campground was clean- lots of firewood stacked everywhere- though there wasn't anyone else in the campground- I was in on the SW end of the lake. The drive up is rough, need good clearance, though I did see a few people with horse trailers on the way- those horses had to take a beating. Also- the road from Fall Creek up is still closed, you need to go through Pine-Featherville.
August 13 · I_grok_U 2Beautiful spot, 10$ per night for camping. Fishing was poor -1 star for that. The road from Featherville is far easier than the road from Anderson Ranch (which requires 4 wheel drive and clearance).
August 01 · Allan OvermeyerBeautiful place! The only downfall are the constant ATV's driving up from Anderson reservoir.
July 21 · Kathren Reese (Kat)Nice little hike to get there but it was a fun night of fishing and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.
July 23 · Jeff KnudsenBeautiful campground. Very peaceful. Lucked out and saw an osprey fishing. Spot 17 is awesome. There is a little creek flowing next to it. Ice cold water. I stepped into the lake and had muck up to my knee. So much for wading. There are sections of the road with very fine and deep moon dust.
