Bear Cave Camping Resort Reviews
This place is awesome!!! Not only is the campground really well maintained but the staff bends over backwards to help and accommodate their guests! They also host lots of events (during our stay: pony rides ,petting zoo, crafts, live bands and more) and keep their amenities clean and well maintained. We stayed at Bear Cave for a total of 4 weeks. The first week we were in our RV before bringing it to the manufacturer for warranty work. We then moved to one of their cabins for the next 3 weeks and really enjoyed it! They were so kind to allow us to check in very early the morning or moving to the cabin so we could move all of our belongings in before dropping off the rv. This was such a huge help to us as we live full time on our rig and basically had to move our life out of it.The rv site was paved, clean, and very spacious, we really enjoyed it. Also, the cabin was clean, everything was in good working order and the kitchen was surprisingly well stocked for our cooking needs.Overall, we had a phenomenal experience and can’t wait to visit again in the future! Ignore all old or negative reviews because this new ownership and management are doing things right!!!
Jun 18, 2025 · Matthew Mancuso1- We are thousand trails members and reserved and got approved for a full hookup site and they automatically moved us out of full hookup into a small mosquito infested spot that was standard electric and water site. The bathrooms and showers are disgusting.. The website advertises a cave and it is permanently closed. Everything in the store is overpriced. For example ice is $8 for a big bag. You have to pay and arm and a leg for the washers and dryers and there aren't enough washers or dryers. I don't think we will be back. Now @ best I marked this review as 2 but maybe a 3 no more than that
Jul 03, 2025 · Michael MillerA hidden jem in Michigan. Felt like we were truly camping in the woods. Has everything you’d want here, the nature, waterfall, river access, and a cave! It is an old school campground that is clean and well kept. Very close to Warren Dunes State Park, which is a huge plus!
May 30, 2025 · e kimThe staff was friendly but the facility was not well maintained. There was A LOT of sand on the floor of the bath/showers (I never saw anyone clean it or walked in after it had recently been cleaned.) There were no hooks in the showers to hang your clothes. Some of the structures are at risk of damage from erosion. We tried to rent a canoe at 4 in the afternoon and were told that the staff was going on vacation so... no. The cave was closed so we drove 3.5 hours to see a landmark that wasn't open. (I'm told we missed that fact when we looked at the website.) In the hopes that the facility managers read these reviews, it is "MEN'S" not "MENS". The word "men" is plural. Without the apostrophe, your signs make no sense.
Jun 16, 2025 · David DeliaCool little campground. Class A, and big rig friendly. The cave is currently closed due to a cave-in . There is an Indian conference tree that is interesting. St Joe river runs right through the campground with multiple public access points. There is a huge recreation center with an arcade and a few other activities. Part of the Thousand Trails. Has laundry, bathrooms and showers. Staff is super friendly.
