4.0
My experience with the American River Rafting Expeditions in Coloma, was deeply disappointing and honestly upsetting especially due to the behavior of the owner and manager, Arnie Chandola.I was there with my friend, his siblings and their parents, and we were planning to stay for three more days. Around 9:30 PM, a group of us (all minors) were playing hide-and-seek not being rowdy, just having fun. The local noise ordinance doesn’t start until 10:00 PM, and we weren’t disturbing anyone. Despite this, Arnie and another adult male confronted us in an aggressive and intimidating way. They accused us of being disruptive, even though we weren’t breaking any rules.Instead of addressing the situation calmly or professionally, Arnie escalated it, cursing us out, threatening to beat our asses, and going so far as to have us removed from the campsite property entirely, cutting our trip short by days. The Sheriffs department even showed up, not because we were doing anything wrong, but because their ego was hurt simply. We were told to leave by 9:00 A.M the next day. - Eli Hunter-Hanover
