Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Tall Pines Reviews
My wife and I, residing near the Commodore Barry, sought a brief respite. Our thirteen-year-old son was unable to join us, so we proceeded without him. We secured site 53, a deluxe site offering ample space for our 29VBUD and Ram. The site was level and meticulously maintained, as were the dirt roads. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. Numerous children and abundant activities kept them engaged. Our son truly missed a delightful experience. We departed on Sunday, but the serene ambiance almost prompted us to extend our stay. The sounds of families creating memories enhanced our enjoyment. We certainly plan to return when our grandson is older.
Jun 16, 2025 · Howard PyleIf you're looking for a safe activity filled adventure this is not the place for you. The "seasonal" guests are unhinged and not friendly at all. The security and management staff also use unfriendly intimidation tactics when you try to report a concern. Additionally, other than the pool and playground there weren't any activities. This place left a lot to be desired. Do not be misled by their website like I was.
Jun 15, 2025 · Danielle CullenThe campground is old, tough for newer RV's to navigate. Site assigned had a very large tree stump in the middle of it. Could not get my 5th wheel in. Had to take a site far away from the group I was travelling with. New site had very low hanging branches that I asked twice to be removed. Never happened. There are alot of seasonal sites that look like your camping in a 3rd world country. Just a mess. Will not be back.
Jun 10, 2025 · Jim DushaThe cabin was fine inside, although I killed a cockroach when I arrived and removed some cobwebs from under the beds. What I definitely didn't like was that it looked very neglected. There's a volleyball court, but it seems they don't clean it because it's full of thorns. And the basketball court is a really small square. The spaces are really small, and it seems like your campfire is on top of the next cabin. They say there's a foam activity, which is embarrassing because that machine doesn't work. And Mr. David, who claims to be the owner, is despotic and arrogant
May 27, 2025 · LeslyMy family and I booked our cabin back in June along with 7 other families booking cabins too. We did this every year for the past 5 years. We arrived at the campground Friday and were checking in at the front gate and the 2 woman there told us we could not have campfires this weekend due to the state of new jersey being in a stage 2 fire restriction. I asked why did no body contact us before we arrived telling us about this? Why were we not informed of this? This is a big deal, people go camping to sit around a fire to relax and talk. I called the front office and spoke with a supervisor and she was not helpful at all. Not offering any discount or anything for the inconvenience of not being able to have a campfire. I walked into my cabin their was no shelves on the door of the inside of my fridge, I called to ask for shelves, they said they didn't have any. I had to get a card to let my husband in because he had to leave and come back and went to open up the gate for him and the key card the front office gave me didn't work. Our oven did not work, we had food cooking for an hour opened it up and still ice cold. They told us we could use propane or charcoal for a fire. So we went out and bought a propane fire pit, used it all day Saturday and around 10:30 at night a security guard told us his manager said we couldn't use a propane fire pit. This was the most horrible experience at a place that we used to love coming to. I think they need to hire some new employees that know what they are doing and have some good customer service! Will NEVER come back here again!!!
