- Unbeatable Proximity to Theme Parks: The most significant highlight is its direct "steps away" access to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun, eliminating travel time and enhancing the theme park experience.
- Variety of Accommodations: The availability of RV sites, cabins, and cottages caters to different preferences and group sizes, making it versatile for various types of stays. The cabins, in particular, are noted for being "comfortable," fitting larger families, and having a "loft perfect for the medium kids."
- Included Parking & Ticket Discounts: Guests appreciate the added value of complimentary parking at Worlds of Fun and potential savings on park admission when booking through the Village.
- On-site Amenities: The seasonal pool and hot tub, convenience store, and laundry facilities add to the comfort and ease of stay.
- Potential for Early Check-in/Late Checkout (with planning): One review highlights the benefit of getting "early check in and put stuff up, go to the park, go to the cabin and eat, go back to the park, and then go take a nap halfway through the day and back to the park for a bit before they close," showcasing the flexibility the on-site lodging offers for maximizing park time.
However, it's also important to acknowledge areas where some guests have experienced challenges:
- Water Heater Capacity in Cabins: A specific point of feedback noted that the cabin's water heater is "not a big water heater by any means! Maybe two showers per hour and an hour between to let it fill up." This is a practical consideration for larger groups.
- Pest Control Concerns: One significant negative review cited a severe "ants in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and yes, even in the bed" issue in a cottage, leading to an early departure.
- Maintenance and Cleanliness Issues: The same review mentioned a "toilet was leaking all over the floor" in an adjacent cottage and observed a "used band-aid by the hot tub, and it was still there the next night," leading to a description of the "place is disgusting."
- Management/Staff Interaction: The negative review also described an unhelpful and blaming interaction with "Michelle" the front desk manager, contrasting sharply with the expected empathetic response in hospitality. An alleged physical altercation with a maintenance man over a dog incident also raises serious concerns about staff conduct and safety.
- Ticket and Information Discrepancies: Issues with receiving promised free food tickets and difficulty with park tickets scanning were also reported.

Worlds of Fun Village Reviews
I wish I had gotten more pictures, it is worth the money, we originally was going to do a two day pass with one day cabin. It rained Sunday so change of plans. The cabin comfortably fit all 7 of us, the loft was perfect for the medium kids. I felt very at ease and just comfortable there. It is a small house but there is just enough room to move around and do what needs to be done. Now if you gotta shower do not expect to be showering everyone right after each other because it is not a big water heater by any means! Maybe two showers per hour and an hour between to let it fill up. But worth it if you can get early check in and put stuff up, go to the park, go to the cabin and eat, go back to the park, and then go take a nap halfway through the day and back to the park for a bit before they close. You will get your money's worth getting a cabin and coming prepared.
Jun 05, 2025 · KaciIt's not good, and don't you dare complain about it. Our cottage had ants. And I mean ants in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and yes, even in the bed. We left at 2 am because we couldn't take the ants crawling on us any more. We complained to "Michelle" the front desk manager. Most hospitality managers would be empathetic and apologize for the inconvenience, but not Michelle. She blamed us for leaving food out. We didn't even eat in the cottage, but she didn't want to hear that. She just kept talking over me. Family was staying in the adjacent cottage and their toilet was leaking all over the floor. They complained and staff lied and said they gave us tickets for free food for our trouble, but they didn't. They didn't even give us our park tickets we paid for. We had to go back and ask for them, then the tickets wouldn't scan at the park. We were moved aside and had to wait on a manager. The pool was dirty. There was a used band-aid by the hot tub, and it was still there the next night. The place is disgusting. Too bad because it could be nice under good management. It's gross. How about you stop blaming the patrons for your incompetence and just clean the place.
Jun 17, 2025 · Sarah KCabins were easy to get in, cute and we like how we share the same common sidewalk. They are a little small but it still had lot of beds (4 total ), super close to Worlds Of Fun. Only thing we didn’t like were too many ants in our bed. Wish there were trash bags or cups/ plates to use. Maybe for them to double-check cleaning wise our bathroom was not clean. But they did respond quickly for concerns/questions.
May 30, 2025 · Susana RamosWe had 5 people in one of the bigger size cabins, so it was cheaper than 2 hotel rooms. The cabin was clean. The futons were OK, but not great for adult sleeping comfort. The loft was cozy. Make sure you bring a standard air mattress, not one of those tall ones. They forgot to tell us we were eligible for early park entry. Luckily the lines weren't too long.I wish they had a park entrance nearby, rather than having to drive or take the shuttle. At least both those options are free with your stay.
Jun 10, 2025 · TimWe come yearly. This is the first year they have closed the pool at 8pm....on a Friday. Absolutely ridiculous. The sign says 9pm and when I went and asked why they were closing early she said she didn't have to give a reason. We spend a lot of money on the village and the parks and when customer service lacks it is disappointing. Do better if you want people to come back.
