Tintic Trails RV Park

RV park ★2.0

536 Main St #6, Eureka, UT 84628, USA

2.0
So I very rarely leave reviews, but I felt like it was necessary to share my experience there.I drive through Eureka a lot. I stop at the gas station at the top of the hill fairly often. They’ve always been very nice. When I saw that they were building RV slots I thought that was pretty cool! I’d support them whenever I had an opportunity! So August of 2024 I did, I met with him, paid cash, and as I was talking to him I asked if we could park on the gravel (which is in between the slots) He said we’d prefer if you didn’t but never said no about it.So I have 2 vehicles, a car and truck so I started to park the car on the “uncompacted gravel” which wasn’t a problem for me. I guess if you do more than walk on it you’ll damage it pretty much.So you only have about 1 to 2 spots to park a vehicle, either at the front or rear of your RV. About 6 weeks in staying there I started to park my truck with a trailer on the gravel, I pulled in one day supposedly way too fast (which I did respect a lot about that place) and “She” met me at my door about 30 seconds after I got to my unit. She told that they have told me and told me not to park on the gravel and I was going way too fast……. No one has told me not to park on the gravel once since I had been there. She said “sorry I’m being b$&ch but I have a chip on my shoulder” those are her words. They don’t have bathrooms, they don’t have tables or any other amenities that an RV park should have if you’re paying 1000 a month, it’s just the slot you’re renting with sewer, water and power. On top of that they’re charging 1200 now to anyone who stays there from now on according to the neighbors. I know many other RV parks within 100 miles that are cheaper and better or you get a heck of a lot more for the price they’re charging. My experience for the first month wasn’t bad but the second month 👎🏽It does have a lot of access to trails and such which is cool. - Scott Johnson

Tintic Trails RV Park Introduce

Welcome to Tintic Trails RV Park, a locally owned and operated destination nestled in the historic and rugged landscape of Eureka, Utah. For residents and visitors of Utah who own a recreational vehicle, this park offers a unique opportunity to set up camp in a town rich with mining history, providing a direct link to a vast network of off-road and scenic trails that define the Central Utah outdoor experience. Positioned strategically for adventure seekers, Tintic Trails RV Park caters specifically to the needs of RV enthusiasts looking for either a short-term stopover or an extended stay amidst the beautiful Tintic Mountains.

Eureka itself is part of the historic Tintic Mining District, an area that was once one of the most productive mining regions in the state. Today, the surrounding mountains and valleys have transformed into a paradise for riders, hikers, and explorers. Tintic Trails RV Park positions itself as the perfect base camp for these activities, encouraging new people to come and meet their needs on their outdoor adventures. Whether you are interested in exploring the remnants of a historic mining boomtown or tackling hundreds of miles of nearby terrain, this RV park is a central hub for your Utah journey.

As an RV park, the core offering is a reliable, full-service camping experience. It’s designed to provide the necessary utility connections for modern RVs, allowing guests to enjoy the comforts of home while being immersed in an adventurous setting. While the park emphasizes its connection to the outdoors and the convenience of its site, prospective long-term guests in Utah should always conduct thorough research into current amenities and pricing structure, as community feedback suggests a focus on the essential services rather than extensive communal facilities typical of resort-style parks.

Location and Accessibility

Tintic Trails RV Park is centrally located right in the small, historic community of Eureka, Utah. The official address is 536 Main St #6, Eureka, UT 84628, USA. This prime Main Street location means immediate accessibility to the heart of the town. For travelers on U.S. Route 6, the park is conveniently situated for easy access in and out of the area, making it an excellent stop for those exploring the central region of the state.

A significant advantage of this location is the unparalleled access to adventure. The owners proudly note that there are **over 800 miles worth of trails** around Eureka, making it a "rider's paradise" for off-highway vehicles (OHVs), ATVs, and mountain bikes. These trails span the historic mining routes and rugged terrain of the Tintic Mountains, offering scenic drives and historical exploration opportunities. Furthermore, the world-famous Little Sahara Sand Dunes Recreation Area is located just 17 miles away, providing a major attraction for sand sport enthusiasts in Utah. The park is easily accessible for large RVs and ensures **On-site parking** for the convenience of guests.

Services Offered

The primary function of Tintic Trails RV Park is to provide essential infrastructure for a comfortable RV camping experience, particularly focusing on the necessities for both short and extended stays. The core service offering is:

  • RV Camping: Provision of dedicated RV slots for parking and full utility hookups.
  • Full Utility Hookups: Each slot is equipped with sewer, water, and power connections, which are fundamental for long-term RV living.
  • On-Site Convenience: The park is located near a gas station and a restaurant, offering immediate access to fuel and dining options without needing to travel far outside the immediate area.
  • Trailer/Vehicle Parking: Designated parking is offered at each site, typically at the front or rear of the RV unit. However, guests should be aware of strict management rules regarding the use of gravel areas for additional parking.
  • Reservations: The park encourages guests to reserve their spot today, indicating a system in place for booking and managing stays.

It is important to note a recurring theme in public feedback: the services are primarily limited to the full hookups. There is no mention of traditional resort-style amenities such as restrooms, tables, showers, or a clubhouse being offered at this particular park. Prospective guests should plan to use the facilities within their own RV units.

Features / Highlights

Tintic Trails RV Park's main draw comes from its prime position as a launchpad for exploring the Central Utah outdoors, particularly for the OHV community.

  • Unmatched Trail Access: The most significant highlight is the immediate proximity to the 800+ miles of scenic and off-road trails in the Tintic Mining District and the East Tintic Mountains. This makes it an ideal spot for off-roading, dirt biking, and hiking right from the park.
  • Proximity to Little Sahara: Being only 17 miles from the expansive Little Sahara Sand Dunes is a major highlight for those seeking motorized recreation on the sand.
  • Historic Setting: The park is situated in Eureka, a preserved piece of Utah's rich and fascinating mining history, offering a unique backdrop and local attractions for history buffs.
  • Full Hookup Necessity: The provision of sewer, water, and power (electric) hookups is a critical feature, essential for a comfortable, extended RV stay in a somewhat remote location.
  • On-Site Gas and Dining: The location's close ties to a gas station and restaurant provides immediate convenience, a feature highly valued by travelers on the road.
  • Locally Owned: The business is locally owned and operated, often appealing to Utah residents who prefer to support small, community-focused enterprises.

While the outdoor access is superb, a notable consideration gathered from customer experiences is the limited physical amenities within the park itself, such as the absence of common restrooms or shower facilities. Potential guests, especially those considering an extended stay, should ensure their RV is fully self-contained or that they are comfortable with the limited amenities offered for the price.

Contact Information

For current pricing (which has been cited by neighbors as increasing), reservations, and specific policies regarding vehicles and trailers, prospective guests are advised to contact the park directly using the information provided below.

  • Address: 536 Main St #6, Eureka, UT 84628, USA
  • Phone: (801) 669-0508

What is Worth Choosing

Tintic Trails RV Park is distinctly worth choosing for a very specific segment of the Utah travel community: the dedicated **off-road and outdoor adventure enthusiast**. The true value proposition of this park is its **unbeatable location** as the nearest full hookup base camp to the Little Sahara Recreation Area and the vast, 800-mile Tintic trail system. If your primary goal is to spend your days on an ATV, exploring the historic mining trails, or riding the sand dunes, the park offers maximum convenience for staging your equipment and resting with full utilities at night. The easy access to a nearby gas station and restaurant further streamlines the logistics of an adventure-focused trip.

However, the decision to choose this RV park, particularly for long-term stays, must be made with a clear understanding of its structure. The park is best described as a utilitarian "slot rental" with essential hookups, rather than a full-service resort with extensive communal facilities. The premium price point, which has been reported by neighbors to be as high as $1,200 per month without traditional amenities like restrooms or laundry, makes the choice highly dependent on the value a resident places on the **prime geographic location and immediate trail access**. If you require extensive on-site community amenities, a quiet, hands-off management style, or a budget-friendly option, other RV parks in more developed areas of Utah might be a better fit. But for the serious outdoor explorer who values proximity to the trailheads above all else, Tintic Trails RV Park is a uniquely positioned and highly practical choice.
