Southern Shade RV Park Reviews
We stayed here 12 nights while our house was being renovated. It is 15 minutes from our home and was a pleasant experience, well meeting our needs. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. It has basic amenities were adequate: laundry with washers and dryers (kept clean), 2 restrooms with showers, a church service on Sunday. The owner is very nice. Easy to work with. The park was very quiet, especially at night--with the exception of the four beautiful roving roosters who do their morning crowing. Actually, the roosters were a big plus--we loved them. The people living there are working folks who have been there for years and are nice. Half of the RV spaces are in shade, which includes most of the spaces that are reserved for smaller RVs. We enjoyed space #27 and would happily go there again. The price was great. Thank you for having us.

Aug 30, 2024 · Mario RiveraIt’s a shame it came to leaving this review because this was a pretty charming place, the owner Bill seemed like a nice guy too. The first time I drove my car thru the park a woman (Cindy) came to meet me berating me about how the park speed limit is 5mph. I know I wasn’t going over 10mph so I apologized but she kept on and accused me of being drunk and speeding so I informed her that my Dashcam records my speed. At that that time she said she was going to call the police and give them the park camera footage and I said that’s fine I have my Dashcam. 2 days later the park owner approached me and said I almost hit someone according to Cindy (the park manager), I said that’s a flat out lie and have my Dashcam footage to defend against accusations. He said they have camera footage as well and I said good then there are two different perspectives to defend me. Now on to the 5th day I am outside working on my car and Cindy comes walking speaking loudly into her phone with a Detective accusing me of smoking pot. I wasn’t here a full week and this lady has hounded me night and day, I spoke with the owner about it but came to find out there is no camp camera system. So both “responsible” persons in a management position lied to me for no reason. I’d love to tell you to stay here but I can’t do so in good conscience. Would be a fabulous place if not for old women with nothing to do trying to assert authority.
Apr 03, 2023 · Brandon VickeryQuiet place to live. Been here a lil over two months and we're happy here. Mr Bill is very nice and always looking to make sure you're happy there. There doing upgrades to the park and working hard to make it a great place to live.--UPDATE--We still like the place, and Bill and his wife are very nice and helpful, but the "park manager" and a few tenants have made living here almost a nightmare. From sneaking around your camper and being nosey, to lying to your face constantly, to accusations due to the ignorance and the inability to be an adult and find out the details of anything or to even come to you and speak with you. If Bill could just get rid of these hypocritical people, it might be an awesome 5 star place. But for now, I give it 2 stars.
Aug 21, 2021 · Micco DillardNice park, it's like any place, it is what you make it. Staying for a year long stay, 3 months in and no problems. Quite and close to anything you may need. Recommend, just pick your spot.Update, been here for 9 months, owner has paved roads and making improvements on a weekly basis.
