Our goal is to present a balanced perspective on Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park, focusing on objective details while also acknowledging feedback that has been shared by individuals regarding their experiences within the community.
Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park is situated at 9900 SE 44th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73150, USA. This location places the park within the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area, providing residents with relatively convenient access to a wide range of urban amenities and services. For Oklahomans, living in this part of the city means being close to major transportation arteries, employment centers, shopping districts, and educational institutions.
The park's address on SE 44th Street allows for straightforward commutes to various parts of Oklahoma City. Major highways such as I-40 and I-240 are typically within a short driving distance, facilitating access to downtown Oklahoma City, Tinker Air Force Base, and other surrounding communities. This accessibility is a key factor for residents who need to commute for work, attend schools, or access healthcare services. Additionally, being within Oklahoma City ensures residents have access to public services and emergency response that a major metropolitan area provides. The area around SE 44th Street generally consists of a mix of residential and light commercial properties, offering a balance of suburban living with nearby conveniences.
Like most mobile home parks, Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park would typically offer fundamental services to its residents, though specific details about the full range of services are not extensively detailed in public records beyond general operational expectations. Based on common practices within the mobile home park industry, the following services are generally provided:
- Lot Rental: The primary service for mobile home parks is the rental of individual plots of land where residents can place their manufactured homes. This allows residents to own their home while renting the land it sits on.
- Utility Hookups: Essential utility connections, such as water, sewer, and electricity, are provided at each lot. Residents are typically responsible for connecting their homes to these utilities and paying for their usage.
- Common Area Maintenance: Management usually oversees the maintenance of shared spaces, including internal roads, lighting, and general landscaping within the park, contributing to the overall appearance and navigability of the community.
- Community Management: There is a management entity responsible for the day-to-day operations of the park, including enforcing community rules, handling administrative tasks, and addressing resident inquiries.
It is important for prospective residents to directly inquire about what specific utilities are included in the lot rent (e.g., trash, water, sewer) versus those that are billed separately, as this can vary significantly between parks.
Based on the provided information, which includes significant feedback from external observations, it is challenging to list typical internal "features" or "highlights" of the park itself in a promotional sense, as the reviews primarily focus on a negative interaction with what appears to be staff or associated personnel.
Therefore, we can only factually highlight characteristics derived or implied from the address and the nature of a mobile home park:
- Established Mobile Home Community: Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park is an established residential area for manufactured homes within Oklahoma City.
- Oklahoma City Location: Being located within Oklahoma City provides residents with proximity to urban conveniences, employment, and public services.
- Accessibility: Its address on SE 44th Street suggests ease of access to major roads and local amenities in the surrounding area.
It is important to note that the provided reviews focus entirely on a negative customer service experience involving a denied discount to a veteran due to an "old ID" and perceived rude conduct by an individual. These reviews raise concerns about customer service interactions and potential discriminatory practices, which are significant points of consideration for any prospective resident. As a factual account, it is crucial to include that these experiences have been publicly shared and are part of the available data regarding interactions at or with the park's representatives.

Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park Reviews
I watched a veteran of Korea be denied a 10% discount because his ID was too old. I watch a large woman (?) With several earrings, nose ring and tattoos tell the man rudely that they could not honor his Korean war credentials. He must of been 85 years old. Two customers put down their items and walked out the door. I followed soon after so I witness this injustice. You knew these people discriminated because of his service. Disgraceful.
