Scenic Mobile Home Park, located in Transfer, Pennsylvania, offers a particular type of living environment that might appeal to locals in Mercer County and the broader Pennsylvania region. Its suitability for residents will largely depend on individual priorities and a thorough understanding of the community dynamics, especially in light of past feedback.
One of the primary benefits of living in Transfer is the opportunity for a quieter, more rural lifestyle. For those seeking to escape the constant noise and fast pace of larger urban centers, this community could offer a peaceful retreat. The surrounding area of Mercer County is known for its scenic beauty, providing a pleasant backdrop for daily life. While specific amenities within the park itself are not detailed beyond lot rentals and utilities, the general appeal of manufactured home living often includes a sense of community and potentially lower housing costs compared to traditional stick-built homes, which can be a significant draw for those looking for affordable options in Pennsylvania.
Furthermore, for families with children, being situated within the Reynolds School District is a practical consideration, providing local access to educational facilities. The proximity to towns like Greenville means that residents are not entirely isolated and can access essential services, shopping, and dining options within a reasonable drive. This balance between a tranquil setting and convenient access to necessities can be appealing to many.
However, it is critically important for prospective residents to carefully consider the concerns raised in the provided customer reviews. Repeated issues with poor management, difficulty reaching the office via phone, and reports of managers never being in the office are significant red flags that could impact the daily living experience. Furthermore, a past resident's claim of not being paid the full agreed-upon amount for work done on the grounds and not receiving a security deposit back (though this dates back to 2015) indicates potential issues with financial transparency and resident relations. The phrases "Poor management!! They suck!!" and "not pleased with the owner and how they run things" strongly suggest a history of dissatisfaction with the park's operations.
Therefore, while Scenic Mobile Home Park might offer a quiet and potentially affordable living solution in Transfer, PA, it is absolutely essential for any interested local user to exercise extreme caution and perform extensive due diligence. This includes:
- Attempting to contact management repeatedly: Test the responsiveness and accessibility of the park's management team using both phone numbers provided.
- Visiting the park in person multiple times: Observe the overall maintenance and general atmosphere of the community. Try to visit during different times of the day to get a comprehensive sense.
- Attempting to speak with current residents: While respecting privacy, if opportunities arise, engage with current tenants to gather firsthand accounts of their experiences with management, maintenance, and any recurring issues.
- Thoroughly reviewing any lease agreements or purchase contracts: Pay close attention to terms regarding security deposits, maintenance responsibilities, and dispute resolution.
- Verifying all financial arrangements in writing: Ensure clear documentation of all agreed-upon payments, security deposits, and rent structures.
In conclusion, Scenic Mobile Home Park could potentially offer a peaceful living option in Transfer, PA, suitable for those seeking a quieter environment and affordable housing. However, the consistent negative feedback regarding management accessibility and financial practices necessitates a very cautious and diligent approach from any prospective resident to ensure a satisfactory and stable living situation.

Scenic Mobile Home Park Reviews
Managers need to post a correct phone number for this place!! My friends been trying for 2 weeks to get a hold of them. Never n the office they been there several times...Poor management!! They suck!!
Jul 16, 2024 · Robin S RileyI've lived there and talked to several people that lived and visited scenic and they are not pleased with the owner and how they run things. Personally I've done work for the owner on the grounds and was never paid the full amount agreed. Plus I never got my security deposit back and trailer was same as was when we moved in. But that was 2015 couldn't tell you how they run it now.
May 11, 2020 · Jesse BishoffThis place is a slum. We are completely ignored by " management." The grass hasn't been mowed in over a month and a half. We have sewer leaks all over the park. We get ignored. That's why we now have a lawyer and are escrowing our rents until something is done. Our rent was raised at the beginning of the year and things got worse.
Sep 08, 2021 · Carol AndruskyI haven't lived there but been there often. Found management to be helpful and the owner accommodating. There have been allot of improvements over the last 6 months. If you like a quite country park, this is the place for you.
Apr 26, 2021 · Floyd MccluskeyI have family that live there and DON'T want to cause problems. But from what I've seen the trailers there aren't in very good shape.Getting worse. Nothing taken care of.
