Mobile home parks, often referred to as manufactured home communities, present a distinct housing alternative that can align with these priorities. In Fenton, Missouri, Romaine Commons is one such community that has been a part of the local housing landscape for many years. These communities are typically managed, providing essential infrastructure and fostering a neighborhood environment. Romaine Commons, located in Fenton, offers this type of living arrangement, catering to residents who prefer the lifestyle and potential cost benefits associated with manufactured home communities within the larger St. Louis metropolitan area.

However, it is crucial for prospective residents to exercise thorough due diligence when considering Romaine Commons. Public feedback from current and past residents highlights significant concerns regarding past management practices, particularly surrounding the transparency of rent-to-own agreements and more recent increases in lot rent without commensurate amenity improvements. These accounts also mention strict enforcement of rules, sometimes perceived as inflexible, and a focus on financial aspects over resident welfare. While the current lot manager is noted as trying their best, the overarching sentiment regarding "management" should be carefully considered.

- Inquire about the history of the park, including any past issues, and seek assurances regarding current practices, especially concerning home ownership agreements if applicable.
- If possible, speak with current residents to gather varied perspectives on daily life in the community, the responsiveness of management, and overall satisfaction.

Romaine Commons Reviews
Not sure who is still running this park or if there is all new folks living here, but I have a horror story that I would like to share with everyone about living on Moncrief Dr.Back in 2007, a family member of mine was lied to about renting to to own a trailer in this park. Was told it would cost a set amount and believed they were paying on it and would own it when payment was complete and the amount was added to the lot rent each month. Only to find out right before it would be paid in full, that they were in fact not owning it one bit and then were wrongfully evicted by the then park manager. If this said manager and even the owner who was working with the manager is no longer there, then this park would probably be an alright place to live. But if the manager and park owner from 2007 are still living in the park and/or running it in any way, I would stay FAR away from this park!
Oct 04, 2022 · KiwiHave rented from this community for three years now and they only thing that ever changes around here is the cost of rent. Started out paying only 310 for lot rent and now its all the way up to 450 with no ammenities in the park whatsoever. Ive been a faithful on time renter and when i was late this past month due to the death of my seven month old nephew, i waz threatened with eviction. Mind you i waz only a little over a week late. The lot manager does try her best but the management does not care about anything but money!!
