Ridge Crest MHC Introduce
For many Texans seeking accessible homeownership solutions without the high costs of traditional housing, mobile home parks, often referred to as manufactured home communities, present a viable and increasingly popular option. These communities offer a unique blend of affordability, a sense of neighborhood, and a distinct lifestyle. Situated in Von Ormy, just southwest of San Antonio, Ridge Crest MHC is one such community that has drawn attention from those looking for a place to call home in the greater Bexar County area. This article is designed specifically for local users in Texas, providing a balanced and factual overview of Ridge Crest MHC, offering insights gleaned from publicly available information to help you evaluate if this community aligns with your housing needs and preferences.
Manufactured home communities operate on a model where residents typically own their homes but lease the land beneath them. This structure can significantly lower the barrier to homeownership, making it an attractive option for a diverse demographic, including families, individuals, and seniors. These parks are often designed to cultivate a community atmosphere, frequently featuring shared amenities and a management team responsible for maintaining the community's infrastructure and appearance. Ridge Crest MHC positions itself as a "family-oriented community open to all age groups," striving to provide a "clean, safe and family oriented" environment. However, like any community, it's important to consider all aspects, including feedback from current residents, to gain a complete picture of the living experience.
Ridge Crest MHC is conveniently located at 14146 Interstate 35 Access Road, Von Ormy, TX 78073, USA. This strategic address places it just outside the I-410 loop to the southwest of San Antonio, offering residents a balance between a slightly more rural setting and excellent connectivity to the vibrant metropolitan area.
The park's direct proximity to Interstate 35 (I-35) Access Road is a significant advantage for accessibility. I-35 is a major north-south interstate highway, providing straightforward and quick commutes to downtown San Antonio (approximately 16 miles away), as well as to other key areas within and beyond the city. This ease of access is crucial for daily commuters, those visiting city attractions, or individuals needing to travel further afield for work or leisure. Major employment centers such as the Toyota manufacturing plant and Lackland Air Force Base are within a convenient driving distance, making it a practical location for many local workers.
Beyond highway access, the location in Von Ormy means residents are part of a growing community. While not in the immediate urban core, essential services such as grocery stores, local dining options, and basic retail are typically accessible within a short drive. For families, the park is served by the Southwest Independent School District, with assigned schools like Southwest Elementary, Ronald E McNair Middle School, and Southwest High School in the vicinity. For leisure and entertainment, major San Antonio attractions such as the River Walk, SeaWorld, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas are generally within a 10-20 minute drive, offering diverse recreational opportunities for all ages. The location provides a blend of suburban peace with the convenience of major city amenities.

Ridge Crest MHC Reviews
If people actually read the reviews. They would know to start away from this PLACE.This PLACE is HORRIBLE. They are trying to be an H.O.A. Community. What they should really be doing is redo the water system they have. It's broken on a daily or weekly basis. They write you up for everything and anything. The Cost of rent keeps going up just about every 6 months or so. This PLACE isn't worth the money or time to come here. I'll get some retaliation for this review because we are still here, but we are just warning People to STAY AWAY.
Mar 05, 2025 · Edward ConverseI don't live here but I know a friend lives there and I see it's very beautiful and quiet
May 18, 2025 · Cruz DimasThe price of this place was what made it stand out...but the new owners are raising rent and not making it worth a while. Compared to other parks, this one has very little to offer. It’s not much of a “community”. It doesn’t have its own amenities. No place for kids to play. Your experience here varies depending what area your house is at. The best part was that it was safe but people have been getting their things stolen left and right and not much is being done. A lot of areas have bad lighting. The back is very dark at night. They used to do the lawn for you which was a plus but they stopped that.
Apr 26, 2022 · Brit MThe water is always a problem it doesn't work half the time, the price of trash pick up is way to high and it only gets picked up once a week, and yet again the rent went up again there is nothing in this park worth wht we are having to pay, most of the people in this park live on a fixed income and after paying rent there is nothing left to live on. This park is not what it use to be, the roads are just patched and not fixed, anything they do is just for the money and this is my opinion!!!!!I'm sure everyone struggles every month which is not right. You should be able to live comfortably and can't why is it they don't show all the reviews on this site????I know for a fact all the reviews are not on here
