Update from my review of a couple years ago.We left this place in a hurry, and the following is what I sent to the owner with my notice:"***We do not feel safe here anymore.***1. It was reported to park management in January that [name removed for privacy] was arrested with firearms, ammunition, drugs, and paraphernalia in the trunk of their car WHICH WAS HERE ON THE PROPERTY. Now slashing tires of park residents. Somehow, still not getting kicked out.2. The pedestrian gate has been broken for almost a year now. We are two blocks from the Mission shelter, this is not a good neighborhood to live in without a secure gate. One of the reasons I picked this place was for the gate. On 8/31/24, there was a man riding around the park at 5am who was later identified from camera footage as a known thief and drug addict. I believe I saw him riding into the park again today and I notified [park manager].3. Absolutely nothing is being done about the stray cats and feral cats breeding here and completely over running the park. It became exponentially worse when [name removed for privacy] was allowed to move back in with 18 unaltered cats. I am tired of finding dying babies that need saving, or the dead ones that are too late to save, it is not only a health hazard but it's heartbreaking. Not to mention my things outside getting ruined by the constant marking and scratching.Bottom line is that I don't feel safe and I can no longer relax in my own home."I have pictures of the kittens we found medical fosters for. Not all of them survived. All of these photos were included to the owners.Additionally, if you move here you can expect to have issues doing laundry as the machines are frequently out of use. The dog park is great but it shares a fence line with the railroad transfer station and encampments pop up there regularly, with human feces and used needles being thrown over.The railroad transfer station is another thing in itself. The trains stop here to drop and add cars, which leads to lots of honking by the train conductors at all hours of the night, as well as extremely loud noises and vibrations when the cars are dropped. We got used to it.. but it's something you should know before you spend money to move in.When comparing prices to other parks in the area, be sure to add the space rent, as well as the water/trash/sewer charge $70-80 I believe), as well as the fee they charge to read the meter each month ($32.50). When we did the math, we discovered a park with a lot more amenities for about $100 more a month. (Pool, shaded playground, clubhouse with fitness equipment and full kitchen, multiple full bathrooms with showers, grassy dog park with river views, vending machines for soda, water, and ice, basketball/ tennis courts, and walking trails spanning 30 acres, AND they maintain all of the landscaping in EACH SPACE, which Redding Village does not AND states in your lease that they will charge you for upkeep if you cannot do.)***** [Old review]We have been in this park for four years now. The current manager has been here for three years and is amazing at responding to real issues, and has done an excellent job at making the park beautiful, and kept up. It's quiet and neighbors are friendly. Number one rule is don't be a jerk. If you're not a courteous neighbor, or have a drug problem, I would save your money and move elsewhere because you won't last long here.
