★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Delightful place off the beaten path! The cabin was basic, but that’s the whole point of a place like this. Everything was functional, nothing leaked. Full kitchen. It was great! A creek runs along the back of the property so you can sit out by the creek, have dinner/happy hour, etc, and watch the sheep graze on the other side of the creek. There is also a restaurant on site with great pie! The restaurant always had guests so I’m thinking their food was as good as their pie. The owners were really friendly and responded immediately to any requests. A great place to stay!
July 25 · Larry KlinglerAfter reading the reviews, good and bad, I think there must be a fundamental misunderstanding by some booking their stay.I have now been to Pleasant Valley for 2 visits while in the area to fish. I could not be more pleased. Is it the Marriott? Absolutely not. I'd argue that it is better. This place is a throwback to customer service that does not seem to exist any longer. We were running a tad late so we called Cydney to update her on an ETA, as well as order burgers to take to the cabin. We lost connection right at the end of ordering food and arrived 45 minutes later. She still had everything ready when we arrived. We ordered our burgers as doubles as we were all starving. They were HUGE, juicy and absolutely delicious. We stayed in the upstairs "cabin" and it did exactly what we needed which was provide a place to hangout for the evening and sleep before hitting the water super early the next morning. The hummingbirds were going nuts outside and provided hours of entertainment. We could not be more pleased with Pleasant Valley and look forward to future visits. Cydney is awesome and easy to work with.
August 11 · Chris KWe were in a campsite that backed up to the river. The most beautiful, peaceful place we have ever camped. Sydney and Tito (I’m still going to call him pie guy) were incredibly friendly and Sydney makes the best pies ever! We are already making plans to come back next summer.
July 10 · Diana RuppertWe LOVE the cabins at Pleasant Valley. The staff is wonderful and its such a great place to stay for a get away. We love the quiet it provides, the river, the sheep, and the homemade pie! We have made 2 trips down here and cant wait for the next already. You will not be disapointed.
June 13 · Maddi RobertsHosts are terribly nice. Camping in a tent in the shade of huge cottonwood trees next to a babbling river after spending the night by a campfire was simply awesome. Clean bathrooms and a hot shower is available. Cafe with supplies onsite (and they can issue fishing licenses). They advertised world famous pies and I wish I had the chance to sample! It was fun to watch the sheep come out across the river every late afternoon and graze.Drawbacks: The flies were out of control. This campground is literally right on Hwy 50 so traffic noise is loud. Not sure if it is an owner or not, but there is a very loud old truck that delivered hay for the sheep one night and the driver made a point of revving his engine as he drove out to let us all know he was there.
