Paleface Point RV Park Introduce
Are you seeking a tranquil and secure RV spot nestled away from the hustle and bustle, where you can truly relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the Texas Hill Country? Paleface Point RV Park in Spicewood offers a unique and distinct experience, catering specifically to those looking for a quiet, long-term place to call home on the road, or a safe and secure location to "park, lock and leave" their RV while exploring. This park prides itself on providing a peaceful environment, far from the typical noise and congestion of larger campgrounds, making it an ideal retreat for adults.
The spirit of RV travel in Texas is all about embracing freedom and discovering hidden gems within vast, diverse landscapes. The Hill Country, with its picturesque rolling hills, abundant lakes, and charming small towns, is a prime destination for both short-term adventurers and those seeking a longer-term base. Paleface Point RV Park embodies this spirit by offering a secluded haven that allows for deep relaxation and immersion in nature, while still being conveniently located for exploration. It's a place where you can unwind under the big Texas sky, enjoy the quiet moments, and become part of a friendly community, especially if you're planning an extended stay. This park, rebuilt better than ever after the 2011 Spicewood wildfire, is a testament to resilience and offers a unique sanctuary for discerning RVers.
Paleface Point RV Park is situated at 209 Paleface Point Dr, Spicewood, TX 78669, USA. Spicewood is a growing community in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, known for its scenic landscapes, proximity to Lake Travis, and a laid-back, rural charm. While one customer review accurately notes it's "way out in the middle of nowhere," this very characteristic is often what discerning RVers are seeking – a true escape from urban noise and traffic.
Despite its secluded feel, Paleface Point RV Park is conveniently located between two major Texas hubs: Austin and Marble Falls. This strategic position offers the best of both worlds. You're far enough removed to enjoy genuine tranquility and dark starry nights, yet close enough for easy access to shopping, medical facilities, and a wide array of tourist attractions. Austin, with its vibrant music scene, diverse culinary offerings, and numerous cultural events, is approximately 30 miles away. Marble Falls, known for its charming downtown, art galleries, and the beauty of Lake Marble Falls, is also within a reasonable driving distance.
The remote nature of its location means that visitors should be prepared for a drive when heading to and from the park, especially for regular errands or outings. However, this is precisely what contributes to its quiet and peaceful atmosphere, which is a major draw for its target audience. The park's website explicitly mentions its convenience to "shopping, tourist attractions, churches, vineyards, camping, and more," indicating that while it feels isolated, essential services and recreational opportunities are within reach, particularly around the Lake Travis area.
Paleface Point RV Park focuses on providing essential services that cater to the needs of its long-term and quiet-seeking guests, aiming for a comfortable and self-sufficient experience.
- Covered Sites: The park offers covered RV sites, which is a significant advantage in the Texas climate, providing shade and protection for your RV from the elements, including harsh sun and potential hail.
- Free Storage Building at Each Site: A unique and highly beneficial amenity is the provision of a free storage building at each RV site. This offers invaluable extra space for belongings, tools, or anything you wish to keep secure outside your RV, greatly enhancing convenience for long-term residents.
- Free Wi-Fi: Staying connected is made easy with complementary Wi-Fi available at the park. This allows guests to manage work, communicate with family, or stream entertainment from the comfort of their RVs.
- Bath and Laundry Facilities: The park explicitly states it has "Bath and Laundry Facilities." While one customer review mentioned issues with the functionality and cleanliness of the bathrooms on a particular visit, the presence of these facilities is generally a key convenience for RV travelers. It's advisable to check current conditions upon arrival or inquiry.
- Community Garden: For those with a green thumb or an interest in fresh produce, the park features a community garden. This amenity fosters a sense of community among residents and offers a unique opportunity for outdoor engagement.
- Picnic Area: A designated picnic area provides a communal space for outdoor dining and relaxation, allowing guests to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Paleface Point RV Park offers several key features that make it stand out, especially for those seeking a specific type of RVing experience in the Texas Hill Country.
- Adult-Only Setting: The park is designed as an "adult only setting." This means a quieter environment, free from the typical noise of children, which can be highly appealing to those seeking peace and quiet for retirement, remote work, or simply relaxation.
- Quiet and Long-Term Focus: The park is geared towards "discriminating individuals wanting a quiet, long term place to call home." This focus fosters a stable and serene community, ideal for snowbirds, full-time RVers, or those needing an extended stay in the area.
- Safe and Secure Location: It offers a "safe and secure location to park, lock and leave an RV for visits to the Texas Hill Country." This peace of mind is invaluable for those who wish to explore the region without constantly worrying about their RV's security.
- Friendly Community and Management: Positive customer feedback highlights the welcoming atmosphere, stating, "All the people here including management are very friendly." This speaks to a supportive environment where guests feel at ease and respected.
- Rebuilt and Renovated: The park was "Rebuilt following the 2011 Spicewood wildfire" and "rebuilt even better than before." This resilience and commitment to improvement underscore its quality and dedication to guests.
- Proximity to Natural Attractions: While "out in the middle of nowhere" to some, its location is ideal for those who appreciate natural beauty and outdoor activities, with Lake Travis and other Hill Country attractions nearby.

Paleface Point RV Park Reviews
One bathroom was not functional. The other had no toilet paper, no soap, little hairs on the sink, and a gross toilet. It’s way out in the middle of no where but that might be what you’re looking for.
