Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park Introduce
For residents across Alabama, finding a suitable and welcoming community for mobile home or RV living is a significant decision. Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park, located in Mobile, AL, offers spaces for both manufactured homes and recreational vehicles. Understanding the current status and community feedback for any park is crucial for prospective residents, enabling them to make informed choices about their living arrangements.
Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park, like many communities, has experienced changes over time, including shifts in ownership and management. These changes can significantly impact the resident experience, from the physical upkeep of the property to the overall atmosphere and perceived safety. This overview aims to provide factual information about Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park, drawing directly from available public data and resident reviews to offer a comprehensive picture for locals in Alabama considering this location.
Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park is situated at 3525 Demetropolis Road, Mobile, AL 36693, USA. This location places the park in Mobile, Alabama, a vibrant port city in the southwestern part of the state. Demetropolis Road is a well-known thoroughfare in Mobile, offering a balance between residential areas and commercial access. Its position allows for relatively straightforward access to various parts of the city.
Mobile is a significant economic and cultural hub in Alabama, providing residents with numerous employment opportunities, diverse dining options, shopping centers, and cultural attractions. The park's location on Demetropolis Road likely means residents have convenient access to essential services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, and medical facilities within a short drive. For those commuting, Demetropolis Road connects to other major roads in Mobile, facilitating travel across the city. Additionally, Mobile's broader infrastructure, including access to Interstate 10 and Interstate 65, means residents are well-connected to other cities in Alabama and neighboring states. While specific accessibility details within the park (e.g., ease of navigating large RVs) are not provided, its address on a main road generally suggests good external accessibility.
Mobile home and RV parks typically offer a range of services essential for residents and guests. Based on the nature of Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park, common services would include:
- Lot Rentals: For mobile homes, this would involve leasing the land where the manufactured home is situated. For RVs, this would be daily, weekly, or monthly site rentals.
- Utility Connections: Standard hookups for water, sewer, and electricity (RV sites typically offer 30/50 amp connections). Residents are usually responsible for setting up and paying for their individual utility accounts, or a utility fee might be part of the rent for RV sites.
- Property Management: On-site or accessible management for handling rent collection, rule enforcement, and addressing community-wide concerns. However, recent reviews suggest potential issues with management responsiveness or effectiveness regarding park conditions.
- Maintenance of Common Areas: Traditionally, management is responsible for the upkeep of shared spaces, internal roads, and general landscaping. Reviewer feedback indicates that the quality of this service has reportedly declined under current ownership.
Given the significant concerns raised in customer reviews, prospective residents should inquire extensively about the current state of services, particularly regarding security measures, trash management, and responsiveness to maintenance requests for common areas.
The features and perceived highlights of Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park have undergone a significant transformation according to recent customer reviews. While previous experiences may have been positive, current feedback highlights several critical points:
- Change in Ownership: A major transition occurred when "Homes of America bought it" (or a similar entity, as "hoe's of america" appears to be a mispelling of the company name mentioned in the review, likely referring to a new corporate owner). This change is cited as a turning point for the park's conditions.
- Reported Decline in Park Conditions: Previously described as a "nice clean neighborhood," the park is now characterized by residents as having "trashy lots, drugs, break ins, homeless running about using our outside water and helping themselves to what they want." This indicates a severe deterioration in cleanliness, safety, and community environment.
- Concerns Regarding Safety and Security: Specific mentions of "drugs" and "break ins" raise significant safety concerns for residents. The presence of "homeless running about" and utilizing private water sources further emphasizes perceived security issues.
- Previous Positive Experience (Pre-New Ownership): One reviewer noted a positive experience living there in 2017/2018, stating, "I never had any problems and left on good terms," under previous ownership. This highlights a contrast with the current reported conditions.
- Racial Discrimination Allegation: A serious allegation of racial discrimination was made by a former resident attempting to rent an RV spot. They reported being denied a spot after payment and paperwork were completed, with no reason given, immediately after park personnel saw their boyfriend, who is of a different race. This review states, "I feel like the reason I wasn’t allowed to rent or offered a reason that I wasn’t allowed to rent was because my boyfriend is a different race than me." This is a severe claim that potential residents should be aware of.
- Unaltered Site Conditions: The RV site was reportedly "not roped off" as promised, indicating a potential lack of attention to detail or service delivery.
It is imperative for any potential resident to investigate these serious claims directly and comprehensively before considering a move to Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park. The stark contrast between past and recent experiences, particularly concerning safety and management practices, is a critical aspect to acknowledge.

For Alabama residents considering a mobile home or RV park in Mobile, Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park presents a situation that requires careful and thorough evaluation. Its location on Demetropolis Road offers geographical convenience within Mobile, providing access to urban amenities and major transportation routes. Historically, it may have been a desirable community, as indicated by previous positive experiences.
However, the overwhelming and severe concerns highlighted in recent customer reviews cast a significant shadow on its current suitability. Reports of a decline in neighborhood cleanliness, increased issues with "trashy lots, drugs, break ins, homeless running about," and allegations of racial discrimination are critical factors that directly impact safety, quality of life, and the legal rights of potential residents. Such feedback suggests a marked shift in the park's environment and management effectiveness since the change in ownership.
While the prospect of affordable housing or an RV spot might initially seem appealing, these serious concerns must be prioritized. For locals in Alabama, especially those with families or those seeking a secure and well-maintained living environment, it is absolutely essential to investigate these claims directly. This would involve visiting the park in person, observing the current conditions, speaking with existing residents if possible, and directly questioning park management about their policies, security measures, and plans to address the issues raised in public reviews. Due to the nature of the serious allegations, particularly concerning discrimination and safety, potential residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and seek independent advice if necessary, before making any commitments at Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park. Its suitability for locals, under the current reported conditions, is highly questionable and depends entirely on one's willingness to accept these significant risks.

Pala Verde Mobile Home & RV Park Reviews
I have lived here for a few years. This was once a nice clean neighborhood, then homes of America bought it and that all changed. We now deal with trashy lots, drugs, break ins, homeless running about using our outside water and helping themselves to what they want. I have included pics from before hoe's of america and after.
Jun 12, 2025 · Baby GirlI previously lived here for about a year in 2017/2018. I never had any problems and left on good terms. (I sold my trailer to a man and moved in to help with my elderly dad.). On May 19, 2025, I paid $640 with a money order to keep my camper there for a month. They did not ask if I had ever lived there, so I seen no reason to volunteer the information. Like I said, I never had any problems and left on good terms. (The owners now are not even the owners that I rented from previously.) On May 20, 2025, I decided to take some stuff to the rv spot that I had rented, and was told would be roped off. It was not roped off. Two of the men that lived there spoke to me. My boyfriend, who is a different race than myself, was with me. We didn’t feel uncomfortable and was looking forward to being in this great location. I got a phone call from “Kevin” in the office, and was told that I wasn’t allowed to rent the spot. (I had already paid, signed all necessary papers, and had my rv scheduled to be moved the next day.). Kevin couldn’t tell me why I wasn’t allowed to rent, said he would give corporate a message to call me, and to come pick up my money order. I feel like the reason I wasn’t allowed to rent or offered a reason that I wasn’t allowed to rent was because my boyfriend is a different race than me. (It was only after they seen him, that I was told I wasn’t allowed to rent.). I still have not received any calls or reasons that I am not allowed to rent. I hope no one else has any problems like this here.
May 23, 2025 · Liz JTammy is awesome! The owners, not so much. My mom is in a wheelchair. Our driveway is cracked to hell right where she needs it the most to load and unload into her van. Also, parking is horrible. We have offered several fun and cheap ideas for the park such as a community garden, controlled cat population, coffee and a donut days at the office to get to meet the neighbors, etc. Instead, they take pictures of our driveway and promise to fix it. We have been asking for it to be repaired for over a year now. The owners also won't do any of our ideas. The landscaping is horrible and everybody could use an owner given Christmas present of pressure washing. What we get is an owner riding through in a nice little Mercedes every weekend and rent increases every other month. The star is for Tammy. I have been here as my mom's caregiver for five years and mom has lived here for ten years and Tammy has always been amazing! I hope she stays for as long as possible.
Dec 17, 2016 · Nikki HarwellA good place to live and it's close to everything. I just want to add a note that this is a quiet and safer place since some undesirable residents have moved. Tammy is the manager and she is fair to all the residents. I enjoy living here.
Jan 21, 2017 · Valarie “Val” HeltonThis place was an absolute shitshow when I lived there from 2008-09. Not only was it unsafe at the time but some of the residents were engaged in open racism. Only saving lights were Carl, Chris S., And homer brown.
