Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort Introduce
For residents across Missouri, finding a place to call home that combines comfort, convenience, and affordability is a key consideration. In Springfield, a major hub in the Ozarks, Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort presents a unique dual offering: it serves as both a manufactured home community for long-term residents and an RV resort for temporary stays. This blend caters to a diverse range of needs, from individuals seeking a permanent, modern home to travelers looking for a well-equipped stop in Southwest Missouri.
Ozark Highlands aims to provide a welcoming environment where modern living meets natural beauty. Unlike some traditional mobile home parks, the focus here is on contemporary design within a community setting. This dual functionality is particularly appealing in a vibrant city like Springfield, allowing for both stable residential life and flexible travel accommodation. Understanding the nuances of such a place, especially from the perspective of a local user, involves delving into its offerings, its location, and the practical experiences of those who have stayed there. While the park strives for a positive living experience, it's essential to consider all aspects, including management practices and amenity availability, to form a comprehensive view.
Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort is strategically located at 3731 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO 65804, USA. This address places it in a highly desirable and exceptionally convenient part of Springfield, one of Missouri's largest and most dynamic cities. The location along South Glenstone Avenue is a significant advantage, putting residents within walking distance or a very short drive of a wide array of essential services, retail outlets, and dining establishments.

The park’s location also offers easy access to main thoroughfares, including Highway 65 and James River Freeway 60, facilitating effortless commutes to other parts of Springfield, workplaces, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions like Missouri State University.
Beyond urban conveniences, Springfield itself serves as a gateway to the natural beauty of the Ozarks. While the park is in an urban setting, the surrounding region offers opportunities for outdoor recreation, including parks, lakes, and trails, all within a reasonable drive. This central yet well-connected location makes Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort highly accessible for both long-term residents and temporary RV travelers, providing the convenience of city living with the allure of the Ozarks just beyond.

For Missouri locals, particularly those in the Springfield area, Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort offers a compelling proposition for both long-term residential needs and temporary RV stays. Its location on South Glenstone Avenue is a significant draw, providing unparalleled convenience to a vast array of shopping, dining, and entertainment options that define urban living in Springfield. For those seeking affordable homeownership, the manufactured home community offers a modern alternative to traditional housing, while the RV park provides a well-equipped base for exploring the Ozarks or for transitional living.
The amenities, including a clubhouse, basketball court, laundry facilities, and a state-approved storm shelter, contribute to a comfortable and engaging living environment. The park's pet-friendly policy and commitment to a quiet atmosphere are also notable benefits, fostering a pleasant community feel. For RV travelers, the spacious, full hook-up sites and strategic location near major highways make it an ideal stopover or extended stay point.
However, prospective residents and visitors should also be aware of some important considerations. Recent feedback highlights ongoing issues with the pool being out of service, which could impact the overall recreational experience for some. Additionally, consistent reports of annual lot rent increases, particularly concerning for those on fixed incomes, warrant careful financial planning. The customer review detailing issues with deposit refunds and communication with management points to potential challenges in administrative processes that prospective tenants for both manufactured homes and RV sites should be prepared to discuss and clarify thoroughly before committing to a stay.
In summary, Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort has many strong positive attributes, primarily its excellent location and the dual offering of housing and RV accommodation. While the community strives to provide a comfortable and convenient experience, a proactive approach to understanding the current status of amenities and administrative procedures is advisable. For locals prioritizing location, affordability, and a community atmosphere in Springfield, Ozark Highlands remains a viable option, provided they consider these operational aspects.

Ozark Highlands Homes & RV Resort Reviews
Decent place to live temporarily, the club house is ok but they definitely don’t seem to be in any rush to get their pool fixed. It’s been out of service for a while. Also lot rent goes up every year causing a strain on those who have a fixed income
Jul 27, 2023 · Badger (J.D.)(previously 5 stars)I hate to leave a negative review because our stay here was actually really nice. However, I’m afraid the positives don’t extend to how the management handles business. For context, when you have a short-term stay here, your final electric bill comes out of your deposit and then you are issued a check for the remainder. (or at least you're supposed to)Timeline:6/26/24 - we had a conversation regarding our departure date, etc. I was asked to leave a Google review, which I did and was more than happy to do! (See screenshot 0)--6/30/24 - we left Ozark Highlands and our stay ended--7/1/24 - I provided management with my forwarding address for the refund check and it was confirmed. (See screenshot 1)--8/1/24 - I sent a text asking about the status of the refund--8/2/24 - Received a reply saying they were looking into it (See screenshot 2)--8/15/24 - I asked about the status again and said if it hadn’t been sent, they could hold off as I was coming back to the area and could just swing by for it.--8/16/24 - I received a reply from management indicating that they were still looking into it and hoped to have an update soon. (See screenshot 3)--8/18/24 - I physically went to the management office where I was told a huge story about how one of their software systems had an error and this held up a lot of checks that went out, including mine. I get it, stuff happens…I was understanding and told them no biggie. They also told me that they’d try to just Fedex the check to me there at the park that week, instead of it going to my forwarding address. Also, due to an error* on their end, there were now two separate checks.*simply put, they left the previous tenant’s electric usage on my bill. So they were going to have to refund that separately.--8/23/24 - The day I was set to leave the area again, I circled back to see if they were indeed able to re-route the check to me here. I was ignored. (See screenshot 4)--8/30/24 - I asked about the status of the check and was told they were looking into it. (See screenshot 5)--9/3/24—9/10/24 - After not hearing anything back, I once again inquired about the status. I was told it had been resent and the address was confirmed. I asked for them to clarify which one had been sent and if there was tracking information. I was ignored.6 days later, I let them know that I still hadn’t received them and asked if they could track them. I was told this wasn’t possible.I asked to verify the date they were sent and was ignored.(See screenshot 6)--9/12/24 - I told them that I’m getting tired of chasing their lies and were giving them the opportunity to do the right thing before I update my review. (See screenshot 7)Less than one hour after sending this message, I got a call from someone else in the management office. This was their version of what happened:Apparently someone in the company had been stealing from the company and my check was part of what had been stolen. On top of that, they sent the check to the park rather than my forwarding address because “I had never sent them my forwarding address” (omg see screenshots 1 and 6). On top of that, they had a completely different number for the total and I had to walk them through the errors management had made in order to get the correct total. (Mind you, I sat in the management office on 8/18/24 where all this was allegedly sorted out)So after multiple phone calls on this same day, everything got straightened out and this person told me the payment had been approved (weird how it was just now getting approved despite the fact that it had already allegedly been sent out multiple times)I was told I would receive the check in 7-14 days.“Corporate”, who actually issues the checks, had approved the amount and were going to send the check on 9/19/24(Screenshot 8 shows the call log)--So as of updating this review, we are 18 days past when I was told 7-14 days. But worse than that, we’re over 3 months after I left the place and I still don’t have a refund.
Sep 30, 2024 · Jeff BattertonDecent place in Springfield! We’ve stayed here twice since our daughter lives in Springfield. Our most recent visit we arrived after office hours and our reservation info was on their board. We go to what was suppose to be our assigned spot and couldn’t believe they wanted us to park in that spot. We did try but unable to even get in the spot due to our scooter hitch! Since we’d been here before we knew there was a lot on back end of property so we just went down there for our visit! No other issues! Seems pretty quiet for being in a city. Decent shower house. Lots of stores/restaurants convenient around the park.
Nov 28, 2018 · Rachel PfeifferThis place is a hidden gem! I've lived here for 10 years and couldn't be happier. We're like a little community of our own within the community of Springfield. I've "survived" several management changes, and honestly, life DOES go on. Our current management team is responsive, friendly and helpful. I've seen them encouraging greater community involvement from us as residents and view this as a plus! And.........where else can you live that you can WALK to your local WalMart? (In A BIG shopping center directly south of the park and yes, within walking distance!) I'm looking forward to many more years here.
Dec 13, 2022 · Pat ShawI have a friend who lives there. When we camped there, we couldn't get any help repairing the water hook-up so my husband had to pay to repair their system. The residents there have no-support on weekends no matter what happens with trees, water supply or sewers.
