For Texans embarking on RV adventures or seeking a long-term home on wheels, finding the right RV park is crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Omega Farms RV Park in Willis, Texas, presents itself as an option for those looking to stay in the Lake Conroe area. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Omega Farms RV Park, leveraging available public information and customer feedback to help our fellow Texans make an informed decision about their next RV destination.
Situated in the growing community of Willis, just a stone's throw from the popular Lake Conroe, Omega Farms RV Park has the potential to be a convenient base for exploring the natural beauty and local attractions of Montgomery County. However, like any RV park, understanding its specific offerings and the experiences of past visitors is key. We'll delve into its location, the services it provides, and the highlights (and potential challenges) that have been reported, giving you a comprehensive picture of what Omega Farms RV Park offers to the Texas RV community.
Omega Farms RV Park is an RV-only campground located in Willis, Texas, designed to accommodate a range of recreational vehicles with its 60 sites. It offers both pull-through and back-in spaces, with full hookups available, including 20, 30, and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. This makes it suitable for big rigs, with a reported maximum RV length of 80 feet on some pull-through sites. The park aims to provide a "quaint country destination" for those visiting the Lake Conroe area or traveling in the Houston vicinity, emphasizing its "beautiful, peaceful, and conveniently located" environment, as stated on its website.
While the park advertises amenities like a stocked fishing pond, nature trails, laundry facilities, and showers, recent customer reviews offer a more critical perspective. These reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the condition and functionality of some amenities, specifically mentioning issues with dirty showers, non-functional laundry, and rough roads with "massive pot holes." This disparity between advertised features and actual customer experience is an important point for prospective visitors to consider when evaluating Omega Farms RV Park for their stay in Texas.
Omega Farms RV Park is strategically located at 11895 Old Montgomery Rd, Willis, TX 77318, USA. This address places it just a short distance from Interstate 45, a major north-south artery in Texas, making it easily accessible for RVers traveling through the state. For Texans coming from Houston, the park is approximately 40 miles north, offering a convenient escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Its proximity to Lake Conroe, a popular recreational lake, is a significant draw for those looking to enjoy boating, fishing, and other water activities.
The park's setting on Old Montgomery Road suggests a quieter, more rural atmosphere compared to being directly on a bustling highway, potentially contributing to the "peaceful" environment described in some promotional materials. Despite this, essential conveniences are within a short drive. The park states it is "minutes away from Kroger Shopping Center, Chase Bank, Walgreens, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A," and medical facilities like Conroe Regional Medical Center. This balance of a natural setting with access to daily necessities makes its location quite favorable for both short-term visitors and long-term residents. However, the presence of "major potholes" throughout the park, as reported by recent visitors, could impact accessibility and comfort for rigs of all sizes, especially those lower to the ground.
Omega Farms RV Park states it offers a range of services designed to make an RV stay comfortable, though the practical execution of these services has drawn mixed reviews. Based on available public information, the park aims to provide the following:
- Full RV Hookups: Each of the 60 sites is advertised with full hookups, including 20, 30, and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer connections. This is a standard and essential service for RVers.
- Complimentary Wi-Fi: High-speed Wi-Fi is advertised as available throughout the entire park, crucial for connectivity whether for work or leisure.
- On-Site Laundry Facilities: The park states it has a laundry facility with washers and dryers for guest convenience.
- Restrooms and Showers: There are bathhouse facilities available for guests.
- Trash Pickup: A reported convenience is the daily trash pickup service at your site, which can be very helpful for residents.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: The park welcomes pets, with specific rules regarding leashing, waste cleanup, and breed restrictions, indicating it caters to RVers traveling with their furry companions.
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Rates: The park offers flexible booking options to accommodate both short-term visitors and long-term residents.
However, it is critical to highlight the discrepancies reported by recent customers concerning the condition and availability of some of these services. Reviews explicitly mention "no laundry," "super gross showers" with "bugs, big water bugs all over the floors," and a "nature trail" that does not exist or is not maintained. This suggests that while these services are advertised, their actual state of readiness or cleanliness may not meet expectations.
Omega Farms RV Park promotes several features, but customer experiences provide a more nuanced view of these "highlights":
- Lakeside Proximity: A major draw is its convenient location near Lake Conroe, offering opportunities for water activities and enjoying the scenic Texas landscape.
- Variety of RV Sites: With 60 sites, including pull-throughs up to 80 feet, the park aims to accommodate large rigs and various RV types, providing full hookups at each site.
- Friendly Staff (Implied by some external listings, though not directly in provided reviews): While the provided reviews do not specifically mention staff friendliness, external listings and common RV park attributes suggest staff interaction is a key part of the experience. However, the negative reviews heavily imply a lack of responsiveness to maintenance issues.
- Trash Pick-up Service: One specific highlight mentioned by a reviewer is the convenient trash pickup service directly from your site, which can be a valuable amenity.
- Stocked Fishing Pond: The park's website and other listings mention a two-acre stocked fishing pond, offering a recreational activity within the park premises.
- Nature Trail: Advertised as circling the pond and winding through a wooded area, this feature aims to provide opportunities for outdoor strolls.
However, it is crucial to temper these highlights with the significant concerns from recent reviews, which effectively become anti-highlights:
- Poor Road Conditions: "Major potholes" and "massive pot holes everywhere" are consistently mentioned, indicating very challenging internal roads for RVs.
- Unsanitary Shower Facilities: Descriptions of "bugs, big water bugs all over the floors," some dead, in the showers suggest a severe lack of cleanliness and pest control.
- Non-Functional or Misleading Amenities: Claims of "no laundry" and "no nature trail" directly contradict advertised features, leading to disappointment.
- Lack of Site Amenities: Some sites reportedly come with "no table, no trees and no firepit," impacting the camping experience despite higher prices.
- No Discounts: A lack of discounts for longer stays or affiliations might be a downside for some campers.
- Loose Dogs: Reports of unattended dogs running loose indicate a potential lack of enforcement of pet policies.
These points suggest that while the park has geographical advantages, the on-site experience regarding maintenance and amenity quality may be significantly below expectations for many campers.

Given the significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews regarding the condition of the park and its amenities, it is highly recommended that prospective visitors contact the park directly by phone to inquire about the current status of specific facilities, such as the laundry room, showers, and road conditions. It would also be wise to discuss pricing in detail and confirm what is included with your specific site, such as picnic tables or firepits, before making a reservation. An in-person visit, if feasible, would also provide the most accurate assessment of the park's current state.
Omega Farms RV Park, located in Willis, Texas, offers a convenient base for Texans looking to explore the Lake Conroe area or who need a temporary or long-term RV spot near Houston. Its proximity to major highways and essential local services like grocery stores and medical facilities makes its location quite practical. For RVers with large rigs, the availability of 80-foot pull-through sites with full hookups is also a notable convenience, providing necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay.
However, based on recent customer reviews, suitability for locals comes with significant caveats. The reported issues with "major potholes" throughout the park, unsanitary shower facilities, non-functional laundry, and a general lack of maintenance on advertised amenities are serious concerns. The absence of basic campsite features like tables or firepits on some sites, despite seemingly high prices, also detracts from the overall value. While the park advertises a "peaceful" and "beautiful" environment with a fishing pond and nature trail, the customer experiences suggest a reality that falls short of these descriptions, with one reviewer calling it "POT HOLE CITY" and noting "super gross showers."
For Texans considering Omega Farms RV Park, it is crucial to approach with caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This includes contacting the park directly to verify the current condition of all amenities and services, clarifying pricing and what is included with each site, and ideally, visiting the park in person to assess the grounds, roads, and facilities firsthand. While the location holds potential, the persistent negative feedback regarding upkeep and basic services indicates that the park may only be suitable for those who are fully aware of and prepared to contend with these reported challenges, or for those whose primary need is simply a full hookup site near the area, regardless of the surrounding conditions.

Omega Farms RV Park Reviews
The showers have bugs, big water bugs all over the floors. Some were barely crawling, and the others were dead. Major potholes are placed thoughtfully throughout the park. To top it off, we paid 70$ for a pull through site with no table, no trees and no firepit. Price was in force during the 3rd week in April, 2025. No discounts of any kind. What more could a camper desire?
Apr 25, 2025 · Howard Hurlbut****POT HOLE CITY****This place needs alot of work. All of the amenities they claim to have do not work or are disgusting. No nature trail, no laundry, super gross showers. If your rig is lower to the ground do not come here there are massive pot holes everywhere. Im surprised we dont need a new suspension after being here for a month. There was a couple times where a dog got loose and the owner didnt care and it ran around for a couple hours. That happened a couple times. Only upside is that they pick up your trash for you.
Jun 10, 2025 · Molly LascalaWe called this rv park to make reservations, as we were coming in very late on May 25th. The lady was very nice told us the slot number and that we would settle the following am. We arrived at 12:30 to find a very bumpy dirt road ( online shows a paved road) we have a 38 foot coach the slot was not open upon our arrival. We could not turn around it was impossible therefore we were having to back out. Would not suggest this as the pics online are def not what you get and your spot may not be there:
May 27, 2025 · Cristina WernerAbsolutely disgusting 1/11/24You better have a dash cam, cameras on your RV and stay strapped or get clapped. $200 a week? The department of health needs to be contacted.
Jan 12, 2025 · Cajun ChaosI love it here... The peace and quiet... The little pond... The manager in the office and her sweet daughter were ever so helpful... There are plenty of spots open over here... We are right down the road from town... Very secluded.... You cant here the traffic from the highway....
