For many Coloradans, particularly those seeking a blend of affordability and access to the stunning natural beauty of the Front Range, mobile home communities offer a distinctive housing alternative. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Mountainside Estates, helping local users in the Colorado region understand what this community has to offer. We'll delve into its desirable location, the services and features it provides, and important considerations based on resident feedback, to help you determine if it's a suitable place for you to call home.
Mobile home living, often referred to as manufactured housing, has evolved significantly, offering modern homes within structured communities. In Colorado, where the housing market can be dynamic, manufactured home communities often present a more accessible entry point into homeownership or long-term renting. Mountainside Estates aims to provide such an opportunity, positioned in a location that combines suburban comfort with the allure of mountain landscapes. However, as with any community, understanding both its strengths and areas for improvement is key to making an informed decision.
Mountainside Estates Manufactured Home Community is strategically located at 17190 Mt Vernon Rd #84, Golden, CO 80401, USA. This address places the community in Golden, a highly sought-after city known for its historic charm, outdoor recreation, and close proximity to both Denver and the Rocky Mountains. For residents, this means enjoying the benefits of suburban living while having quick access to major urban centers and boundless natural attractions. The community sits near Mt Vernon Road, which connects to significant local and regional thoroughfares.
The accessibility of Mountainside Estates is a major advantage for its residents. The community's location in Golden provides excellent connectivity to major roadways. Interstate 70 (I-70), a critical east-west corridor, is just a short drive away, offering direct routes to downtown Denver to the east and the mountain resorts to the west. This makes commuting for work, accessing healthcare facilities, or embarking on weekend adventures incredibly convenient. Public transportation in Golden is served by the Regional Transportation District (RTD). While specific direct bus routes to the park's immediate vicinity would require checking real-time RTD schedules, Golden is well-served by local buses (like Route 17) and the W Line light rail, which connects the Jefferson County Government Center/Golden Station to Denver Union Station. This allows residents to explore the city and surrounding areas even without a personal vehicle. Furthermore, the community's location offers easy access to a variety of local amenities, including shopping centers, restaurants, schools within a quality school district, and numerous parks and outdoor spaces. Iconic Colorado landmarks like Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, Denver Botanic Gardens, and Lookout Mountain are all within a short drive, significantly enhancing the lifestyle opportunities for those living at Mountainside Estates.
Mountainside Estates, as a manufactured home community, typically offers a range of services designed to facilitate comfortable and managed living for its residents. However, it's important to consider recent customer feedback when evaluating the consistent quality of these services. Common services usually include:
Lot Leases: Residents typically lease the land on which their manufactured home is placed. This lease includes access to the community's common areas and infrastructure.
Utility Hookups: The community generally provides the necessary hookups for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity to each home site. Residents are usually responsible for their individual utility consumption.
Community Management: On-site or accessible management is responsible for enforcing community rules, addressing resident concerns, and overseeing the park's operations. However, a recent review critically highlights concerns about "randomly enforce parking rules" and a feeling of being "taken advantage of," particularly for newer residents. This suggests potential inconsistencies or perceived unfairness in management's approach to rule enforcement.
Maintenance of Common Grounds: The upkeep of shared spaces like roads, landscaping, and community facilities is typically managed by the park. One review notes that "They keep the common grounds good," which is a positive indication regarding the visual appeal of the community. However, the mention of "everything else is pretty shabby" could imply that maintenance of individual properties or other aspects may not meet expectations.
Waste Management: Services for trash and recycling collection are commonly provided for residents.
Mountainside Estates aims to provide a living environment with features and highlights that appeal to its residents. Based on available public information and common amenities found in similar communities, along with direct resident input, these may include:
Quality School District: The community is noted to be within a "quality school district," which is a significant draw for families with children.
Proximity to Denver Attractions: Being "just 11 miles from Denver," residents have convenient access to a variety of activities including Denver Botanic Gardens, Red Rocks Park, and Larimer Square.
Pet-Friendly Environment: Many manufactured home communities, including this one, are pet-friendly, understanding the importance of pets in residents' lives.
Clubhouse / Community Center: Some information suggests the presence of a clubhouse, which can serve as a central gathering place for community events and resident interaction.
Outdoor Pool: A community swimming pool is often a sought-after amenity, providing a recreational outlet during warmer months.
On-Site Customer Service: The presence of a community office and staff indicates a dedicated point of contact for residents.
Well-Maintained Common Grounds: As mentioned in a review, the "common grounds" are kept "good," contributing to the community's overall aesthetic appeal.
Easy Access to Local Dining and Shopping: The proximity to popular local dining spots like El Tapatio and Mannie & Bo's Pizzeria, and retail options such as The Home Depot, Kohl's, and Target, adds to the convenience of living here.
However, it is crucial for prospective residents to consider the critical feedback provided in the reviews. One resident expressed a strong desire to "move away from this place," citing "randomly enforce parking rules" and feeling "disrespected" and "humiliated" by management's actions, particularly with a "LARGE yellow sticker on my windshield" for what was perceived as minor parking infraction, while "real problems" were not addressed. This indicates a potential issue with inconsistent or perceived unfair rule enforcement and management-resident relations. Another review, while acknowledging good common ground maintenance and a "fabulous" location, felt "everything else is pretty shabby" and as a "female," did not "feel exactly safe there," raising significant concerns about security and overall living conditions beyond just aesthetics. These points suggest that while the location is highly desirable, there are serious issues regarding management practices, perceived fairness, and resident safety that potential residents should thoroughly investigate.

Its proximity to Denver, major highways, quality schools, and a wealth of outdoor and urban attractions makes it geographically appealing. While the community appears to maintain its common grounds well and likely offers standard amenities such as a clubhouse and pool, the recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns that potential residents must carefully consider. Mountainside Estates Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Can’t wait to move away from this place. They randomly enforce parking rules claiming I was parked diagonally in the street. I was parked in front of my home with a portion of my tire on the gutter. Out of all the cars in this entire tract of mobile homes that are parked in the street, crowding the street and parked way worse than mine, Carolyn had the audacity to stick a LARGE yellow sticker on my windshield claiming I will be towed in ONE DAY. this place is awful. Why don’t you choose to actually enforce the problem people around here and stop taking advantage of people who just moved here ONE MONTH AGO. You’re really not leaving a good impression on how management treats its paying tenants. I felt very disrespected to be THE ONLY CAR with this fat yellow sticker. Thank you Mountainside Estates for humiliation. My neighbors was the one who notified me and were also an upset with this lousy “enforcement”. STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE, START DEALING WITH THE REAL PROBLEMS AROUND HERE (THEY ARE NOT HARD TO MISS).
Jul 02, 2025 · Kaylee BoydI'm so disappointed I was looking to purchase a place and the location is fabulous. They keep the common grounds good but everything else is pretty shabby. As a female I didn't feel exactly safe there. I hope that this review helps change the environment there.
Aug 06, 2024 · AprilMy last review was removed for some reason. This place sucks, doesn't enforce any rules. Just lets people throw junk in the street, park in the street however they want, 7 cars to a house, even tho rules state 2, but are never enforced. Wannabe gangsters constantly flaunting their microphallus with gigantic subs, even though there are rules in the lease against, never enforced. Just all around cesspool.Don't you want to live next to tweakers grilling at midnight? Or want people parking on your lawn? Who wouldn't want that, right??
Mar 24, 2024 · Justin WellsCompared to most trailer parks this is a very nice one I like the area beautiful scenery things of that sort keep in mind that if you are ever in this trailer park trying to find an address note and keep reminding yourself that they do change the location of the trailers quite often as they move so the address may not be exactly where the map shows it so be prepared for that if you were in there looking for a certain address . I happen to know a couple people that live there it's a little pricey I don't feel that $6 to 800 a month is fair for a lot rent however it is what it is.
Mar 29, 2022 · Aaron “Mr. Goodspeed” TrusievitzLived there for almost 6years and they switched managers as often as people do underwear. They would change policies and not give notice then fine you for not fallowing. No respect for residents. Many people who lived there the she time as my family had a bad septic problem that the company was responsible for and refused to do anything about till news crews showed up and reported on it. Had to many run ins with ignorant "managers" who didn't fallow office hours. And it took them over a year to give us the title to our home and we had to consult a lawyer and have legal action threatened when they refused to pay back property taxes that they never paid in the first place when they had the property in their ownership. Very shady company
