Moon Valley Community presents an intriguing alternative to traditional homeownership, offering a chance to live in wine country without the typical prohibitive price tag. This community has a unique character, praised by some for its peaceful environment and excellent location, while others express concerns about its evolving social dynamics. This article aims to provide a clear, factual, and balanced overview of Moon Valley Community, from its prime location and amenities to the important community aspects highlighted by current residents, helping you determine if this "hidden gem" is the right fit for your lifestyle in California.
Moon Valley Community, located at the heart of Sonoma Valley wine country, is more than just a place to park a mobile home; it's a vibrant community with its own distinct atmosphere. For many, it represents an invaluable opportunity to live in an area where traditional homes are often priced at $600,000 or more, making mobile home living a "best bet" for accessing this desirable locale. Residents frequently praise the "location, amenities, and peaceful vibes of the neighborhood," often calling it "Sonoma's best hidden gem." However, it's also a community undergoing a transition from its historical roots as a 55+ community to an "open community with no minimum age requirements." This evolution has, as highlighted by some residents, led to "outdated rules" that can sometimes create friction, particularly for families with children. Management is acknowledged as "strict" with rules "necessary in order to have a lovely community," indicating a strong emphasis on maintaining order and peace. Understanding this dynamic is key to appreciating Moon Valley Community's multifaceted nature.

Moon Valley Community Reviews
Families BEWARE! Terrible outdated rules from when it was a 55 + community. The children that live here are often mistreated by many of the residents who seem to wish it was still 55+.Tread carefully it can be a shockingly unwelcome place for a family to reside! My seven year old can't play outside without being too loud for someone. Normal play gets described as screaming and yelling! She cannot ride her bike without us receiving complaints. They try and demonize this child saying she rides so recklessly they fear her! She hasn't even been riding a two wheeler long enough to be getting reckless, it is laughable to me if it weren't such hatred coming from our own "community" which makes it less funny.
Sep 26, 2024 · Piper SandovalMy Boyfriend and I live in the Moon Valley community and couldn't be more happier with the location, amenities and peaceful vibes of the neighborhood. Management can be strict and rules are set in place that you must abide while living here but all necessary in order to have a lovely community. In a location where homes are priced at $600,000 or more- we felt that a mobile home was our best bet and we are so thankful to have found such a great community! We often say that Moon Valley is Sonoma's best hidden gem.
Jan 22, 2020 · Amanda BarnettI must say that when Valley mobile home park has been my home for 11 years it's a beautiful Park and is very close to shopping and downtown Sonoma, the biggest problem with Moon Valley Mobile Home Park is its management team, just a general manager Terry Edgington, since his arrival to the mobile home park, mr. Terry Edgington has upturned people's lives through them out on the street and made-up rules regulations Etc at his own convenience oh, he has also harassed disrespected and humiliated several of the homeowners of the community, since his arrival at the mobile home park he has demeaned, under minded, and disrespected disabled such as I am, I came down on hard times recently and he just kicked me in the teeth I tried to work with him he says he tried to work with me but there was no working with me on his side, the rules and regulations are from the past when it was a 55 and older park now it's an all-ages Park and the same rules are still in effect for a 55 and older Park and not pertaining to an all-ages Park, I work as a handyman for a living and I live in the community as well he is kicking me out because I stood up for myself he was harassing me giving me a lot of havoc and I stood up to him and told him I didn't like it to get off my back and stop harassing me and 3 days later I had an eviction notice on my door this is not right it's not fair and it's not American, it has destroyed my life and I am going to be homeless after 52 years such a great feeling to know there's one person out there that can destroy your whole life and that is mr. Terry Edgington of Moon Valley Mobile Home Park
